Hard to believe this was a year ago.
Sometimes we’re lucky enough to connect with a couple on such a deep, soulful level that moments from their wedding day stay with us long after the day itself is over.
There were so many moments from Baylee & Billy’s wedding day that had us crying and completely in our feels, but one of my favorites happened quietly, right before the ceremony.
Baylee decided she wanted to put on her veil for the first time.
I could immediately tell this was a moment she needed to experience fully, NOT through direction, not for a photograph, but for herself. So I quietly stepped into the corner of the room, took a few images without saying a word, and then stepped out so she could simply live it.
Later, she told me how full circle that moment felt. Like being a little girl dreaming about her wedding day, and suddenly standing in front of the mirror in her dress and veil, knowing she was about to walk down the aisle.
This is why we photograph weddings the way we do.
Photos are beautiful, but they were never meant to become the center of your wedding day. They’re meant to preserve how it felt.
To quietly hold onto the moments you were fully present for. To turn a feeling into something you can return to years later. To give the generations that come after you a way to experience your wedding day with you, over and over again.
You deserve to have those full circle moments uninterrupted.
We’ll be there, quietly making sure you never have to forget them.
