America 250 Cross Stitch Celebration | Breakout Sessions

Attendees of the America 250 Celebration are encouraged to explore a variety of traditional needle arts through our three breakout sessions, including English Paper Piecing, Punch Needle, and Wool Appliqué.

Class Fee: $60 each

Each breakout session will last approximately one hour and include a kit with the fabric, threads, and other materials needed to complete the main design of each project. Tools and finishing accessories to complete the projects as shown in the photos are sold separately. Attendees may take one, two, or all three classes. Please include in the order notes if you want to be in the same class(es) as another attendee.

English Paper Piecing (EPP) Discover the precision and satisfaction of English Paper Piecing as you create a stitched project featuring crisp points and perfect seams. This beginner-friendly class is a wonderful introduction for all to a favorite quilting technique. (Backing fabric and stuffing to complete the pillow as shown are sold separately.)

Punch Needle (PN) Learn the basics of Punch Needle embroidery while creating a charming decorative design. You'll explore stitching techniques, loop control, and learn finishing tips in this fun, hands-on class. (The galvanized steel organizer shown is sold separately. Morgan Hoops and Punch Needles will be provided at the beginning of class and made available for purchase after.)

Wool Appliqué (WA) Experience the beauty of Wool Appliqué as you stitch a project featuring layered wool shapes and decorative embroidery stitches. Discover the ease and simplicity of working with hand-dyed wool. Perfect for beginners and experienced stitchers alike. (The primitive box shown is sold separately.)

Join us for the "America 250 Cross Stitch Celebration - a Tribute to The 13 Colonies" with guest designer Theresa Baird of Heart's Ease Examplar Workes Friday through Sunday, June 26-28, 2026!

THE 13 COLONIES & THE NORTH CAROLINA SAMPLER
Theresa will give a presentation on The 13 Colonies and her seven completed Colony samplers. She will also conduct a Q&A discussion on the "North Carolina" sampler. She will also share exclusive sneak previews of what’s next!

SCOTTISH THISTLE SEWING SET
Theresa will conduct a Finishing Tutorial on the "Scottish Thistle Sewing Set" that launched last Fall. This incredibly popular set is available through Hobby House Needleworks and is the perfect complement to the Green Tartan WinterBury Needlework Cases that also launched last Fall.

HOBBY HOUSE LANDING ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY
In celebration of Hobby House Landing's One Year Anniversary, on Friday we will also be offering optional English Paper Piecing, Punch Needle and Wool Applique breakout sessions taught by our very own team! After all, can you really have too many crafts!? Details are on our website here:
