Gear up for Free ORV Weekend! On August 15–16, both residents and out-of-state visitors can ride Michigan's 4,000 miles of off-road vehicle trails, routes and six scramble areas without purchasing an ORV license or trail permit!

Before you head out, here are a few key reminders:
✅ Bring your own ride: Riders must provide their own ORV.

✅ Check the rules: All other ORV laws and regulations still apply.

✅ Recreation Passport: A Recreation Passport is still required where applicable.

✅ Holly Oaks ORV Park: Entrance fees are waived for the weekend at Holly Oaks ORV Park in Oakland County, and no Recreation Passport is needed at this location!

✅ Silver Lake ORV Area: Heading to Silver Lake? Be sure to check out critical safety tips before tackling the 450-acre scramble area.

✅ Protect our trails: Clean mud, plants, and debris from your ORV, trailer and gear to help stop the spread of invasive species.

Love the trails? Consider buying an ORV license or trail permit for the full season! Every dollar raised goes directly back into maintaining our trail system - funding trail brushing, signage, bridge and culvert construction and trailhead upgrades.
