Felt bad for my customer who is an Illisnois fan after UofM smacked them around Friday. So I powder coated his chasis. Colors are Illisini Blue and Orange with a splatter pattern to help blend them. I don't have the rails made yet so haven't done the cheek raise. This and mine are nearing completion.

The guy is incredibly interesting to follow. He is a SCOTUS lawyer so knows what he's talking about. It is only a matter of time. Note when he is referring to the DOJ it is not the DOJ under the Trump administration but the DOJ under Reagan and more specifically Bush 41.

Optics are in for the club rifles. Over the past 2 years I've switched personally from Leupold to Athlon on my prone rifles. Leopold quit offering a target scope in the price range I like. Ive found the Athlon ARES scoes to be amazing especially for their price. The glass comes off the same line as other companies that charge way more for their scopes. Optocal clarity is excellent at 1000yd or at 50yd for smallbore. Scopes have tracked perfectly. These are the older Gen 1 model which has the aplr2 reticle which i prefer for nra bullseye style shooting. Since these are the older model they are discounted.

If you need an optic for your rifle please let me know. You definitely won't be disappointed with this scope.

Fog delay so got the buttstock lock wheels done.

Rails and buttstock hangers are done. Just have more small pieces. Did a trial engraving on the buttock hanger. Came out pretty nice but was at 0.015" deep may back it out a little but.

Making the picatinny rails for the Kimber chassis. Going from square block to finished top side. Just have to flip and contour the bottom. These will be 0 moa rails. On the big chassis they get a 20moa mill for the bottom.

Somebody enquired about upgrading their handguard. Soooo......, we kinda did an upgrade for them.

Ended up had to do 3 versions of the trigger guard before it felt correct.

The Kimber 82G Chassis isn't finished but this is a mockup with butt stock off another rifle and a scrap rail. Really looking forward to the Athlon Ares UHD on this rifle. They've worked great on the 1k prone rifles.

Took couple days but have the trigger guards finished.

Long Action chasis is now fully designed. The central tube is stretched out from the short action by 0.853". But to compensate I shortened the butt tube by the same amount. The trigger guard had to be moved around some to compansate for the different dimensions.

Only parts not in the drawing are the follower, grip, hand stop and cheek rest.

When I get around to making it, this will replace the MAK that is currently on my 280Rem.

This will work for any standard Long Action Rem 700 or Rem700 clone action.
