The journey…
Tonight I got to my hotel around 6, laid down… and I was DONE. 😂
And maybe it was the exhaustion, the long drive, or just finally being still for a minute, but I started thinking about the last few months.
And damn.
Life has changed.
Not just my job. Not just my business. Me.
There have been some really hard personal changes mixed into some of the biggest opportunities of my life. There have been moments I’ve felt completely lost, moments I’ve questioned myself, and moments I’ve had absolutely no idea what the hell I was doing.
But somewhere in all of it, I started finding myself again.
Or maybe I'm meeting myself for the first time.
I've stopped being so afraid of the doors opening in front of me and started walking through them.
I've been learning and teaching alongside Glynn Orms and Parker Thomas—two people I have an incredible amount of respect for in the hat world. Every time I'm around them, I'm reminded how much I still have to learn…and instead of intimidating me, it makes me hungry to learn more.
I've been given this crazy, amazing opportunity to work as the Client Success Coordinator for Hat Masters.
I'm running my boutique.
I'm building my hat business.
I'm building an entirely new educational program from the ground up to teach others the art of pyrography—something that started as me sitting down with a burner and somehow grew into something I now get to teach and share with other artists.
I'm preparing to stand up at the Summit in November and teach something I love in front of people in an industry I once only dreamed about being part of.
And sometimes I stop and think…
How the hell did I get here?
I'm tired.
I'm overwhelmed.
There are days when I wonder if I've taken on too much.
There are days I miss my babies so much it hurts.
There are early mornings, long drives to Denver, late nights, hotel rooms, work waiting for me at home, projects scattered everywhere, and about 900 things running through my head at any given moment.
But underneath all of that…
I am so damn grateful.
Because these are the things I once prayed for.
These are the opportunities I wanted.
This is the growth I asked for.
And growth isn't always pretty.
Sometimes it looks like confidence and accomplishments.
Sometimes it looks like crying in your car, drinking way too much coffee, driving hundreds of miles exhausted, questioning every decision you've made and then getting up the next morning and doing it anyway.
Tomorrow morning, I get up and start another class.
Another opportunity to learn.
Another opportunity to teach.
Another opportunity to become better than I was yesterday.
And after this class, I get four weeks HOME.
Four weeks to work on some huge projects that I'm incredibly excited about.
Four weeks to pour into my boutique and my dreams.
And four weeks to love on my babies, because at the end of the day, they are still the biggest reason behind everything I do.
I don't know exactly where all of this is taking me.
For once, I don't think I need to.
I'm learning to trust myself.
I'm learning that I can be scared and still do it.
I can be overwhelmed and still be grateful.
I can miss home and still chase something bigger.
I can fall apart for a minute and still get back up.
And maybe finding yourself isn't one big beautiful moment.
Maybe it's a hundred little moments where you finally stop shrinking, stop doubting every damn thing, and decide you're going to see what happens if you actually believe you're capable of the life that's opening up in front of you.
So tonight I'm exhausted.
I'm emotional.
I'm overwhelmed.
And I'm incredibly, incredibly blessed.
And tomorrow… we keep going. 🤎🔥
