Been a minute since I last did a leatherwork commission. Made some demi-gaunts for a member of the SCA. Tried out a different pattern from normal and really like how they turned out.

Harness is finished up, changed some strap designs on the front.

After hooking up to a cart, there needs to be a pair of straps that run from the brichet up to the middle to help stabilize it. Easy fix

Did a test fit of the harness. Need to alter some straps from the wither strap down to the breast collar. Current straps are far too long.
•••
Still needs a pair of safety straps to connect the brichet to the cart. As well as a pair for the main cart straps.
•••
Getting close to having it done. Will need to make a couple of custom saddle pads to go with it once I get the harness finished.

More progress on the projectAny guesses yet as to what it will be when finished?

I haven't done anything crafty for awhile now, been one thing after another. But I'm super thankful to Corey for teaching me how to make my first knife.
•••
Maybe someday I'll get into blacksmithing, but that's a long ways off for now.
•••
This project with Corey was a thankful distraction and helped get my mind back on track with wanting to get back on track with leatherwork.

While I'm still "temporarily closed," the door is "wedged" open. Lots of things up in the air at the moment. House was about to go on the market when our electrical took a dive. Currently waiting on a permit before work can be done to fix it.

Workshop has been started on, dont have a timeline on that yet. Gathering supplies and getting stuff put together. I'll post pictures later on of that project, when its further along.

Getting back into working on things

Little sneak peak at one of many pieces to be tooled in this project. Going to be several hours putting this build together.

This piece has been outlined so far, cutting and tooling to come.

••••

I've bought some more tools/equipment, learning new skills, and looking into options for making patterns to be sold (not armor related at this point), also looking into various ideas of small non-expensive products that I can make and keep in stock.

Thank you everyone for your continued support

Putting in an order to Tandy Leather tonight, if you want to order something and save on shipping let me know. [Vernal, Ut only]

They have a summer sale going on right now as well.

(If you want me to add something to my order, I'd need payment before placing the order [paypal, venmo, cash]

Not the best photo sorry, just really excited to have this mounted and ready to go. Excuse the mess on the table

Update:
Been a minute, so thought another update was due.

•Still temporarily closed for the time being

•Shed building plans were cancelled

•This is due to a change in our plans to fix up and sell the house (will be staying in vernal)

• I "think" we'll have it on the market by mid July (making good progress so far on the fix up projects)

•Did however buy a new stitch machine, excited for it arrive. Bought a Cowboy Outlaw, it will be a nice addition to the shop once I'm up and going again.

•Can't really say when the workshop will have its doors open again for orders, but will update as soon as it is.
