Weekend #2 of having my Reel Cool Lures bait stop/shop set up! 🎣 My grandma is supportive enough to host this idea of mine and help me run it thru the summer. Most of you know the story that when I was 10, I went fishing on Oneida Lake and lost some lures when I was casting in the weeds. I asked my mom if I could learn how to make and paint some new ones.
What you guys probably don't know is that I spent the summer practicing air brushing and learning how to tie knots. My mom was so proud of me she posted my lures on the The Route 20 Community Page. She grew up on Route 20 in Marcellus, NY and the Route 20 page was and still is a place of community and positivity. Little did she know then sharing "good news" of what her son was doing, launched my business. People who followed that page requested lures. I did my first "show" at the Navarino Fire Department and so many said they saw my lures and bought some. One man came to that show and said he made lures himself and wanted to check out "his competiton". I never felt so good in my life! I was just a kid and he thought my lures were competition to his!!?! Wow! Anyways, I am now 18 and as you know I am still making my lures (and expanded!!) Today is a full circle moment as I open my Reel Cool Lures trailer/little store full of lures right at my Grandma's house on Route 20. It seems only fitting. I hope you stop by! 7am-1pm Saturdays & Sundays! -AJ

I've been working on this special project with my grandma! On the weekends now with my Grandma's help, I am going to offer my first Reel Cool Lures remote location. It has all my lures and will be stocked with Morgan's Bait! The location is perfect on Route 20 in Marcellus, NY for anyone traveling to Otisco Lake, Skaneateles Lake or any of the fingerlakes to stop by and get lures or bait for camp. Tomorrow is my grand opening so please stop by. Hours are Saturday and Sundays from 7am-1pm. Weekday evenings by appointment.
