Hi Racers,

Back after a well deserved vacation, National Scaleauto event, the SnowBirds are gone and now back to our regular group. We had 10 racers register for this week's event and it was action packed. Lots of close racing as usual with some off track excursions.

Nascar - Mag
We had 3 entries for this class. Butch hung with John on the yellow and green lanes. John was able to edge out Butch by one lap on the Blue lane and then Butch had some issues on the red lane and could not make up the laps. Jimi ran a consistent 16 laps each heat.

Nascar - Mag
1st - John - 73 Laps
2nd - Butch - 68 Laps
3rd - Jimi - 64 Laps

Nascar - Non
We had 6 entries for this class. What a race it was, lots of swapping positions and door banging. John, Gary and I swapped positions many times with Gary and I tying for 2nd and John taking the win. Nathan, Julie and Greg had a great battle going on. They also swapped positions many times during the race. Swapping paint and a few crashes. Matching each other lap for lap on the red lane. Nathan was able to edge out Holli and Greg on the Blue lane.

Nascar - Non
1st - John - 73 Laps
2nd - Bob - 72 Laps
3rd - Gary - 72 Laps
4th - Nathan - 62 Laps
5th - Holli - 60 Laps
6th - Greg - 60 Laps

C-Class - Mag
We had 5 entries for this class. At the drop of the flag, John took off and ran away with the race. Nathan and Jimi had a great battle going on. Jimi took Nathan by one lap on the yellow lane. Nathan matched Jimi lap for lap on the red lane and took Jimi by one lap on the blue lane and 2 laps on the green lane. Pepsi Kid and Julie had a great race also going on. Pepsi Kid got Julie by one lap each on the yellow and red lanes and then Julie said enough of this and beat Pepsi Kid by 1 lap on the green lane and matched Pepsi Kid on the blue lane. Well done Julie!

C-Class - Mag
1st - John - 92 Laps
2nd - Nathan - 79 Laps
3rd - Jimi - 77 Laps
4th - Pepsi Kid - 70 Laps

We had 5 entries for this class. What a race with a couple of big crashes. John, Gary and I swapped positions many times, Matching each other lap for lap or swapping laps. Traded a little paint at times! Any of us could have won this race, one little off and you were down! Greg and Holli battled with Holli matching Greg lap for lap on the red lane. While Greg held Holli off on the yellow, green and blue lanes, Hollie was pushing hard. One crash on the back stretch involved me hitting a de-slotted car at full speed! Fortunately no damage, just a loud crash. Second crash involved me also. Three of us were coming out of the S's on the short shute before the long front straight and I believe I was in the middle and all 3 of us crashed with me pushing through the middle and I stayed in the slot while the other 2 deslotted. Do not know what happened as we were side by side and going for it. I won by about 10ft! What a race.

C-Class - Non
1st - Bob - 79 Laps
2nd - John 79 Laps
3rd - Gary 78 Laps
4th - Greg - 73 Laps
5th - Holli - 67 Laps

IROC - Mag
We had 7 entries for this class. Club cars stay in the same lane with drivers rotating. Equal cars and controllers (Defalco), counting full laps only, comes down to the driver. Racing so close with lots of off track excursions and paint swapping. Many positions were not determined until the checkered was thrown.

1st - John - 85 Laps
2nd - Bob - 84 Laps
3rd - Gary - 83 Laps
4th - Butch - 82 Laps
5th - Nathan - 80 Laps
6th - Greg - 80 Laps
7th - Holli - 78 Laps

Listed below is where we each finished in our groups. Groups were based on qualifying times and split off into groups of 8. Two groups had a few less than 8.

Hi Racers,
Another great event with 13 registered racers, that was full of action, on the track and off the track. Billy Bob was having a bad night and everyone knew it. I think Pepsi Dave slipped Billy Bob a Pepsi and then Billy Bob was out of control. New Racer - Preston paid us a visit - Welcome and hope to see ya again.

NOTE: No races in May. Next race: Thursday June 4, 2026.

We had 11 entries for this class. I keep saying it, but just some plain good old fashion racing with fierce competition. AWESOME RACING!!!!!! I needed to do some work to my car as it had 2 bent axles and 3 bent wheels! I needed all I could muster to keep these guys behind me, I managed to pull a consistent 10 Laps on each lane. Gary matched me lap for lap on the yellow, red and blue lanes. Gary lost a lap on the green lane. While Gary and I were battling, John was right there hammering on Gary's rear bumper. Butch was giving John all he wanted while Van and Nathan were right there to take his position at any given time. Butch, Van and Nathan tied for laps. Jimi and Greg tied for laps also. Hi Racers,

The racing here is so competitive, so many ties and so many laughs! We had 13 entries for this event. The competition was fierce and fast, with lots of action, as usual. New visitor Matt (Champion Lawn Mower Racer) had a great evening.

NOTE: Currently looking for a place to rent, space size of 400 / 1000 sq ft . Must have AC, restroom. Share a space, someone has an empty room in their building they are not using, empty building, let me know. I truly believe that there is enough interest if properly advertised and operated, it could be a very viable business. Would like to stay in the general area of Venice, South Venice, Engelwood. Please let me know if you have or know someone that has a space.

We had 10 entries for this class. What a bar burner. The racing was so close in both classes with ties and many positions decided by the last heat. There were a few crashes, door banging and paint swapping throughout the race. I did not print the standings sheet for this race and it is a little difficult to pull all the numbers from history (my fault)! So I will do the best I can. John, Gary and I were at it again. We all were going at it hard with Leo in tow. We matched laps for laps and it was not decided until the final heat. John and Gary tied, I was 1 lap short? Leo finished the GT1 class. GT2 was an awesome race also. Van won the B class by 2 laps. Jimi and Billy tied and raced hard throughout the race, banging doors and swapping positions. Holli and Matt being rookies, I separated them out. Holli and Matt finished the field but had a great race battling with the local hot shoes.

Hi Racers,

The racers came to race tonight and a few experienced, well maybe one racer experienced, A Hum, his biggest dethroning! Cheaters abound (substitute cars, car placed on the wrong section of track for restart), LOL! You know mistakes are made and boy oh boy, one tiny, itsy bitsy mistake and the sky comes falling down! Read on to hear the rest of the story, it's a good one. We had 12 entries tonight and what a field it was. We had 2 new members and a member we had not seen for a while join us. Welcome Mike, Steve's friend who just became a new member just a short two weeks ago, welcome back Leo, and also Holli, John's wife. Glad Holli was here tonight, I just don't know if John could have handled the CRUSHING Blow he took in the Trans Am class without the support of his wife Holli! LOL!

GT1 / GT2 - Non Mag
We had 10 entries for this class. The GT1 class was a barn burner. John, Gary and I were pushing it hard and I personally was pushing it a little too hard, so I decided to test the guardrail durability and I must say, it does it's job very well! LOL! I took the lead on the yellow lane by one lap each over John and Gary. John and Gary took their laps back on the red lane (Guardrail). John was able to put an extra lap on both Gary and I on the green lane. Blue lane, we all matched laps. The whole time swapping positions and weaving our way through the GT2 cars. Butch, Mark, Leo and Jeff were going at it hard swapping positions and a few off track sightseeing adventures.. Jeff closed out the GT1 field battling a group of GT2 cars. GT2 class had 3 entries and battled hard. Van jumped out to an early lead with Greg hot on his bumper. Nathan did a great job hanging right with Van and Greg. Awesome race guys!

We had 6 entries for this class. This was Holli's debut race! I think she has been practicing at the secret Billy Bob speedway (location not to be disclosed)! Holli brought her A game to show the boys she means business. Holli matched the boys lap for lap on the red lane and was right there on the other lanes also except for a few guardrail tests along the way. Watch out guys, she is coming for ya! Greg jumped out to an early lead with Mark and Holli matching Greg lap for lap on the red lane. Greg pulled extra laps on yellow, green and blue lanes. Nathan and Leo had a fierce battle going on. Leo matched Nathan lap for lap on the green lane and put an extra lap on the blue lane over Nathan. Nathan had an extra lap each on the yellow and red lanes over Leo. Swapping positions and lead changes the entire race. Mike, a new member, finished the field. Mike had car issues doing a great job keeping it on the track.

We had 7 entries for this class. This is where it gets VERY INTERESTING! Where is John? You see the race starts out normal, well maybe! Things are going along real well when all of a sudden John crashes hard. Car is reslotted and crashes immediately again in the hairpin. The green Cuda suffered a broken guide post. I sold the car to John and he has raced it for several races and now it broke. He says I sold him a defective car - LOL! So he just grabs another car and expects no penalty laps for changing cars. In real racing you go to the back of the pack, (CHEATER) LOL! The saga continues. Second heat finishes and I get my car to clean the tires and switch lanes. We got ready to start and low and behold I was informed by the Track God (Butch), that I was on the wrong section of the track (it was only a few feet), immediately called CHEATER!!!!!!!!! You would have thought I committed a robbery! Mistakes are made and the memory is not what it used to be. We all had a good laugh. Gary jumped out to an early lead with Van, John and I in tow. We went to it. We all matched laps on the blue lane and I was able to match Gary lap for lap on the green lane. I was taken out hard in the switch back (I will not mention who did that, Nathan - LOL). We all at one time or another during the race were banging on each other and swapping positions. Greg, Leo and Nathan had a great race also. Greg jumped out to an early lead. Leo and Nathan were right there banging on each other throughout the race. Nathan was able to match Greg lap for lap on the yellow lane. What a great race!

Wow - we had 11 entries for this race. Four identical prepared cars by Billy Bob's Speed Shop. Club controllers. Everyone gets to race each car in its own lane and count total completed laps only. Each heat race restarts at the finish line. It comes down to the driver!!!! Great race with alot of fun. To recap this race in full would take forever. Four to five racers on each lane turned the same number of laps. Very competitive and about as equal as you can get for racing with different drivers. Check out the laps and you can see how close it was. Several groups of racers with similar laps. Great, close, competitive racing with alot of laughs and fun!
