Happy to share Jack’s graduation quilt! Years ago, I made him a quilt from his baby blankets and sheets, so it was especially meaningful to create his high school graduation quilt too. ❤️Jack grew up at Kings Way, attending from kindergarten all the way through high school, and his collection of shirts from band camps, sports, and school activities, mostly in red, white, and blue, came together into one cohesive, colorful quilt. ❤️🤍💙

Music and football were Jack’s two big loves in school. His parents really wanted his playing number represented on the quilt since we couldn’t use an actual jersey from the school. We had his playing number screen printed locally to feature, while fun football prints from Spoonflower | wallpaper , fabric + home decor added the perfect playful touch throughout.

This wonderful young man is headed to Baylor University this fall. Congratulations, Jack and family! 🎉🎓 Wishing you all the very best as you embark on your next chapter. Go get ’em! 🐻

Celebrating Miss Emily’s graduation with her very own memory quilt! 🎓✨ Her quilt is filled with the moments that made her high school years so special ... from her beautiful work with the Unified basketball team to the Dunefest shirts and jersey she loved. We even included photos of her “dog tags” collected from every Dunefest event she participated in! A memorable vacation hat logo, cherished ribbons and other favorite shirts from elementary through high school were included. And anchoring it all? Her beloved grandpa’s sweater as the border, the most special touch of all. 🥹 She chose a variegated gray cotton backing for a lighter feel, and we finished it all off with her name hand-embroidered in the corner … just as an artist signs their work of art!

Emily, it was such a joy creating this for you. Wishing you all the very best in this exciting new chapter. You’ve earned it!

Congratulations! 🎉❤️💫

It’s graduation day for Miss Addison! 🎉🎓

Her quilt was gifted this past weekend, and her mom was kind enough to share these beautiful photos. What a story this quilt tells! Soccer, softball, basketball, volleyball, golf, ASB, DECA, church and youth camps, orchestra … Addy poured herself into SO many things throughout her school years, and now every single one of them is stitched into something she’ll treasure forever. ❤️

A sweet tiny floral border and a gorgeous light blue Cuddle backing tie it all together with just the right touch of soft femininity. I fashioned a storage tote with a leftover high school logo on a sweatshirt that wasn't used and it will be perfect for storing her quilt in later.

Addy, your future is already so bright! I can’t wait to see everything your next chapter holds for you! Congratulations, girl! 🎉💐🎓💫💙

Through creating these quilts, I get to work with some truly special people. That is one of the greatest gifts of this work. 💙

Denton’s mom reached out to me wanting a quilt made for her ... a quilt filled with memories of every game, every practice, every camp, every tournament and road trip alongside her now 6’8” rising star. She said it best: “It’ll be a family heirloom without question. We all know every single shirt’s story.” Someday, this quilt will be Denton’s. 😉⚾️

And what a story it tells. Denton just wrapped up an incredible senior year, capping it off by pitching the Florida 3A State Championship game and bringing home the win! This fall, he heads to Mississippi State to play baseball, and with the way he’s playing, I have a feeling the big stage isn’t far off. 🏟️

This quilt was a true joy to make. Given the warm Florida climate, we chose a dark grey cotton blender for the back which was the perfect combination of practicality and style. The Diagonal Plaid Bias quilting by was an easy choice: classic, sharp, and just right for a baseball theme.

Congratulations, Denton ... on your graduation, your championship, and everything still ahead of you. I can’t wait to watch! 🎓⚾️

This handsome quilt traveled home to the Chicago area for a young man celebrating his high school graduation. I love how every element tells part of his story ... each piece filled with special meaning and sentimental value. A favorite knit hat and sweater, vacation shirts, a cherished beach towel, a snippet of his childhood bed sheets, sports uniforms, and school memories all came together to paint a portrait of a wonderful young man. These weren’t just fabrics. They were companions along his journey, holding memories that matter.

Backed with cozy black Cuddle and stitched together with bold red thread, it all came together beautifully. Working with this amazing young man’s thoughtful mom was such a joy! Congratulations on this exciting milestone! 🎉🖤❤️

Happy Friday! Sharing the second “Sisters” memory quilt created from their late father’s cherished shirts. The sister, for whom this quilt was made for, shared a photo of a quilt design she loved, hoping I could recreate it for her keepsake. I searched extensively for the original pattern and maker but kept hitting dead ends ... unfortunately running into what appears to be stolen work. It’s disheartening to see scammers taking original designs, poorly rewriting patterns, and selling them as their own. Since the design was straightforward, I was able to work from the photo to create the quilt she envisioned. If the original designer sees this, I’d love to give proper credit!

Their father had a passion for aviation, so we chose an airplane and cloud quilting pattern that felt perfect for him. I carried this theme through to the back label, incorporating his photo, one of his ties, and hand embroidery featuring planes, clouds, and the mountains he treasured. The rich black cherry Cuddle backing creates a stunning contrast against the black and white front.

I’m so grateful that each sister will have a quilt uniquely meaningful to her. What an honor to create these lasting tributes to their dad. ❤️☁️✈️🌄

Well, hellooooo friends! 👋 I know, I know...where have I been?! The short answer: life! along with lots of sewing! But all is well, and I’m excited to catch up and share some of my latest finishes!

This first quilt is part of a series of five memory quilts made from dress and casual shirts belonging to a beloved father who has passed. One of his daughters reached out to commission these quilts - one for each of her sisters and one for herself. For this first quilt, the sister requested a red background. I was able to use pieces from a red twill shirt that was in the collection, combined with a blender fabric and a red cotton solid to create a beautiful variation of tones throughout.

My client chose the stunning Nightingale pattern from , and each block incorporates pieces from the shirts, making every part of the quilt meaningful. On the back, I added a memory label featuring a photo of their dad and one of his neckties, along with his name hand-embroidered. It all came together wonderfully, and the sister was absolutely thrilled! I love knowing that each sister will have one of these quilts to cherish and remember their dad by. ❤️
