A while back, Yamaha contracted with Randall May company to make a very fancy (and expensive) “tuba tamer”. These are designed to hold the tuba so smaller students can slide their chair up to the tuba and still be in playing position and not have the mouthpiece and valves too high and not have to lay the tuba on it’s side in their lap. This is a good thing and Yamaha and Randall May had a great product. They were *vereh nice-uh* (insert Monty Python Holy Grail French Accent here). They were also $125. There was only one other issue - the 3/4 size (which you see here) ONLY fits the Yamaha YBB-105 tuba. These two factors led to Yamaha not selling very many and discontinuing the product. Yamaha offered these at huge discounts to dealers. We bought some and offered them at huge discounts to schools. One particular school had no YBB-105’s and tried (and failed) to use theirs. They gave up and offered it up for free to any school on my route that would take it. A school did so - then promptly left it in the box for 3+ years, untouched, until giving it back to me to “re-home.”

If you have a YBB-105 and you have (or will have) a smaller student that plays tuba, you can have this. It’s in new condition. It works. It’s Free. First come - first served. If you’re on my routes I will deliver. If you’re on Gene Joner’s routes he can deliver. I won’t ship it. It has to be picked up at our store or delivered on routes to you.
