This weekend feels extra special. 🌸

It’s my first weekend back creating bouquets for The Vintage Source since my kidney transplant, and I honestly can’t describe how grateful I am to have my hands in flowers again.

Saving lisianthus seed felt like a small, quiet experiment…
Growing it out feels like a little bit of magic ✨

Last year, I let a few blooms go to seed and tucked them away with more curiosity than expectation.

In January, I started them.

And here they are 🌱
Thousands of seedlings—each one a tiny question mark.

Lisianthus grown from saved seed isn’t predictable.
It’s not uniform.
But that’s the beauty of it.

It’s slower, a little riskier…
and deeply rewarding—watching something go from bloom, to seed, and back again.

This is how a garden becomes yours 🌸

National Donor Day happens to be Valentine’s Day….a day about love.

So here’s my truth. I’m on the kidney transplant list. Waiting for a match. Waiting for a stranger’s kindness to become my second chance.

I look okay on the outside. I still smile. I still show up. But inside, my body is working harder every single day just to keep me here. Being on the list means living with hope and uncertainty at the same time.

If ❤️love is action, then donation is one of the purest forms of it.

Hope that this waiting will one day turn into a beginning. If you’ve ever wondered whether one person can make a difference, you can.

It’s been a long week in DC for work, but was nice to see all of the talented people I work with in person. I forget how blessed I am and need to remind myself to slow down and celebrate everything in my life. A year ago my husband was diagnosed with a life threatening brain tumor and he’s been pushing himself everyday.
