No but really, I was freaking out for a second! 🥴
Opening up an email 7 days late, saying something urgent has happened to your unit is a sh*tty feeling. Especially after your husband’s job went on strike, you’ve been unemployed for 8 weeks, 1 kid came home with a hole in his shoe, 1 kid needs pants cuz apparently boys grow a size every freaking day 🙄🥴 🤣 and your 17yr old deserves to participate in every Senior event because she’s the best daughter ever! But you only have $30 in your name. 🤷🏻♀️
No one talks about the aftermath of closing a business that was draining every penny out of you for 11 months. But here I am, speaking my truth, my journey, my current reality, not for the pity party, not for the “I’m sorry” but because I’m transparent, I’m brutally honest, an extreme oversharer and I’m not ashamed of sharing my story. 🙃
Many will cringe, tell me to keep things private, which I have, for 11 months, but that ain’t me. I’m not private! 🤷🏻♀️
I also share this for the future entrepreneur dreaming of a storefront. I want you to know the ugly parts too, the parts no one glamorizes, so you can learn from my mistakes and others’ and make smarter moves than I did.
With that said, I still want to tell you to open it. Still go for the risky ass dream. 😎
Do it smart. Do it ugly. Do it from scratch. Do it alone. Do it with a team. Do it scared.
But just DO IT.
Just because it was ugly for me doesn’t mean it will be for you. It could be the most beautiful experience for YOU. 🤍
