Here is a few things we hunt down and look for while deep into a saddle ..... so they no longer hurt or potentially hurt a horse .. another main reason we look is so there's no way a horse acts differently after repairs made here ... images of nails and screws removed attach ..we find these on 1 out of every 6 saddles repaired .average ...

I wonder how many miles and miles of buckstitch we have laid down .... for 1 belt it takes 2.5 times the length of the actual belt size ... my grandpa would always say ... "Its all in the swing.. its all in the swing " Joe Pena...
To make it look so easily and fluid ... I know the video is boaring to watch .. imagine how boaring it is to actually do the buckstitch work... lot of times I wanted a real Job like everybody else has ... if you watched this .. thank you for watching how us old school people still work ..

Putting Buckstitch on our belts on our 165 year old stitching horse... my grandpa Joe Pena said when he was working at Slade Saddle Shop down town in 1939 when he was 14 years old that it looked exactly like this ..
