Join us May 30–31, 2026 as the LaSalle County Historical Society Museum , Mendota Museum & Historical Society , and the Village of Troy Grove celebrate native son Wild Bill Hickok with a full weekend of family-friendly fun!

Enjoy live performances, historical re-enactments, special exhibits, and more across Mendota, Troy Grove, and Utica—with a FREE trolley running between all three locations 🚋

WOW....What a Great Start to the Season!!

Thank you to EVERYONE that come out for the 2026 Blessing of the Bikes!! The day started off cloudy and a few sprinkles. But by the time the Blessing was about to start, the sun came out for the day!

We extend our humble gratitude to everyone who comes out and supports us and this yearly event. Many of you have been coming since the beginning, no matter the weather or how far you ride, you show up! In special circumstances, we have sent prayers thru phone calls, ❤️, so some who could not make it, could be included too. The CMA Rockford, IL - Steel Witness make sure to take care of any special request anyone has. Our heartfelt Thanks to this group of amazing men & women, who put this wonderful event on for us. They always go above and beyond for anyone who asks!! We have been very blessed to have you in our lives! 💕

Thank you to Starved Rock ABATE for coming out, setting up a booth, and members for supporting this event! One of their missions is to make sure that you have the right to choose if you wear a helmet or not, instead of being forced to wear one without a choice. I'll be sharing Dan's pictures in a separate post.

Thank you to Big B BBQ for setting up his food truck. Hope you tried some of his food, it was AWESOME!! 😋 Best Mac n cheese I've had anywhere (except my own, of course 🤗)

Annual Blessing of the Bikes, Sunday May 3rd!!
There will be 2 Blessings: Noon and 1:30pm.
Join us and start the season off right! Have the CMA Rockford, IL - Steel Witness bless you, your passenger & your bike! 🏍️

Joining us will be Starved Rock ABATE with a table set up with bike raffle tickets, you can renew memberships or join ABATE. Among the many things they do, they fight for your right TO CHOOSE whether you wear a helmet or not. Stop by & check them out!

Also joining us will be Big B BBQ serving up some AWESOME FOOD!! Come hungry, you won't be disappointed!! 😋

If our parking lot gets full, park next door in our old parking lot. There's plenty of room for everyone! The CMA Rockford, IL - Steel Witness will get around to everyone for individual blessings after the group blessing. They are more than willing to offer "special" prayers for anyone who asks! These people are awesome and go above and beyond for us!!

Sunglasses are buy 1 pair, get a 2nd pair of equal or lesser value for 1/2 price. Good on foam, nonfoam, bling, transition and goggles. Must buy in 2's for sale. Stock up for the season, get a spare or 2 in case you lose or break a pair!
