There will be a Primary Election on Tuesday June 2, 2026. Polls are open 7am to 8pm. The St. Clair – Ute Precinct Polling Location is Ute City Hall located at 130 E Main St. Ute IA 51060.

Please note, City Hall will be open for voting only on Tuesday June 2, 2026. The City Hall window and library will be closed. Water bills can be dropped through the door slot.

A loose dog has been reported wandering around Ute, mostly south of Hwy 141. The dog has not been caught. If you recognize the dog, please let their owners know.

The City of Ute has hired Triple C Pest Control to spray for mosquitos starting Tuesday May 19 just before dusk, weather permitting. Spraying will continue every Tuesday for 16 weeks. Contact City Hall to be added to the 2026 pre-spray notification list.

Reminder for Ute properties!

NOTE: We have had problems with improper dumping in years past that has resulted in many fines/penalties for the City. Cameras will be utilized for clean-up days and fees will be imposed on those who dump items not allowed or electronics/appliances without a tag or bring items from out-of-town locations. The loads are checked prior to dumping, so burying an item will still incur a fee. Tags can be purchased at City Hall. Please use them and help us keep the costs down for everyone.

When: Friday May 1- Sunday May 3, 2026

Where: Ute Water Plant (Across from the Baseball Fields)

Who: Only Ute Residents/Businesses for items removed from properties located in Ute. Part of your landfill fee on your utility bill covers the cost of these dumpsters.
