Built during Kawai's golden era of piano manufacturing, this UST-8C has been well maintained and remains in remarkably original condition. In my career of tuning, evaluating, buying and selling pianos, I have rarely encountered a studio piano of this age that has been preserved this well. Its cabinet, action, and overall appearance are simply exceptional. This one looks, plays, and sounds decades newer than its manufacture date of 1996.

Built with Kawai's renowned Japanese engineering and craftsmanship and assembled in Lincolnton, North Carolina, this piano represents one of the finest studio instruments Kawai ever produced. It is in excellent mechanical condition. The hammers show very little wear, indicating that the piano has received excellent care throughout its life. I have personally tuned the piano to A440 Concert Pitch, performed any needed adjustments and thoroughly detailed the piano inside and out.

The tuning pin torque—one of the most important indicators of a piano's ability to hold a stable tuning—is exceptionally strong. This piano is structurally sound, musically responsive, and ready for many more decades of service.

The beautiful Oak cabinet is in exceptional condition with virtually no noticeable blemishes. It has been meticulously cleaned, detailed, tuned, and prepared for safe professional delivery to your home, church, school, or studio. It looks beautiful, sounds rich and powerful, and has the responsive touch that Kawai pianos are known for.

A brand-new Piano Life Saver climate control system can be installed for an additional fee. This is HIGHLY recommended. I am a certified climate-control specialist, certified piano technician, and professional piano mover.

WOW, what a day yesterday!!! A total of 2 piano deliveries and three(both grand and vertical) piano moves! For those who don't know, that's a 13+ hour day! The "Gem of the Day" though has to be this one......Many who are familiar with the WKU Department of Music and past performances of piano music will know the name of the legendary Sylvia Kersenbaum. Born in Bueno Aries, Argentina, Sylvia had an illustrious career as a piano performer, composer and teacher, playing all over the world. She began teaching at WKU in 1976!! She recently passed away, and donated her personal piano to WKU. We were selected to move the piano from her home near campus to the WKU Department of Music. Hello All! After a much needed week off last week, I was back on the piano tuning trail today. I'd like to showcase two "Gems of the Day" today. The first one is a STUNNING Mason & Hamlin Virtuoso X Series BB(7' in length) that is only a year or so old. It was my first time to tune it and I will say that it's a fine instrument. The next "Gem" is an older one-of-a-kind Chickering that is a full 9' long! This piano is a delight to tune! (Sorry, I tuned so many pianos today that I forgot to get pics of this Chickering). 😀

Today's "Gem of the Day" was this amazing Steinway "B" located at First Baptist Church, Madisonville, KY. I truly enjoy tuning this piano every time I get my hands on it. I also very much enjoy getting to visit with my friend, Rod Ellis, who leads worship there!

Today was a whirlwind day.....I drove over 160 miles and tuned 5, yes 5, pianos!
