Knowledge and Skills Required

• A two-year degree in Computer Aided Drafting.
• Outstanding fluency and skill within the AutoCAD program. 3d Knowledge a plus.
• Excellent communication skills; listening, comprehension, and feedback. Qualitative and Other

Roles and Responsibility

• Creating accurate CAD drawings from hand sketches, verbal instructions, and site visits.
• Ongoing drawing focused collaboration with project managers and design consultants.
• Create, edit, and update standard details for use in projects.
• Management and organization of all CAD drawings. Systematically saving sketches and drawings on our CAD server; keeping the server organized; updating project folders and files as jobs progress and revisions are made.
• Printing of CAD drawings in various formats and packages, and delivering them to the correct contact in a timely manner.
• Seamlessly integrating and working with project managers design consultants, and sub-contractors, to produce and alter drawings.
• Thinking creatively and critically to support the project team in the design process, to create sketches and drawings that work.
• Creating and continually updating project drawings lists.
• Printing various formats of drawing sets for project managers and site superintendents.
• Exhaustively reviewing and checking sketches and drawings for errors, before being sent to architects, subcontractors, project managers, etc.

Job Responsibilities

• Be able to read shop drawings to determine how to fabricate and assemble sheet metal pans
• Measure, mark dimensions and lay out material to be installed using tools such as scribes, rulers, calculators and squares
• Measure cut and bend sheet metal into appropriate dimensions per drawings provided
• Use hand and power tools to trim and shape and get metal fabricated
• Have good math skills and attention to details.
• Have good communication skills
• Work well with others.
• Ensure safety is a priority on the job during all activities, including using tools and fabricating metal

Job Skills & Qualifications

Required:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift heavy materials and tools
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints
• Excellent math skills
• 1-4 years of sheet metal experience
• Good communication skills
• Work well with others

IT MAY BE TIME TO REPLACE YOUR WALK IN COOLER!

Do you notice that your walk in cooler is producing excessive noise and heat? It’s likely that your compressor is constantly working. This will cause premature wear to your compressor and drive up your energy costs.

Many older commercial refrigeration units were equipped with fluorescent lighting. That might not sound that bad, but it really causes problems. First, they’re not as bright and the bulbs need to be replaced more often. If you have an older cooler with this type of lighting, you will want to replace your cooler as opposed to spending the same, if not more, to convert your current walk-in cooler to LED lighting.
