🛣️ Today as we talk about Indiana history, we're also talking about INDOT history!

The first section of I-64 was completed in the Southwest district back in 1969. The picture below shows the ribbon cutting near the current interchange of U.S. 41 and I-64. The interstate was completed in Indiana by the late 70's.

Stueve Construction finishes the 32,000 ton fertilizer terminal in Rockport, Indiana.

P.J. Peter, Agronomy Division Manager, from Superior Ag shakes the hand of Harrison Carter, Construction Field Manager, from Stueve Construction on the last day for construction of the new dry fertilizer terminal on the Ohio River. The last item to be installed on the building will be a SUPERIOR AG Sign on the end wall.

The investment in the new facility reflects Superior Ag’s commitment to supporting local agriculture and providing farmers with the tools they need to succeed.

Currently, Superior Ag has over 2,700 members throughout southwestern Indiana, northern and central Kentucky and the bordering regions of Illinois.

It was great to spend a day at the track during the Month of May! Thanks to Garmong Construction for the opportunity to connect with fellow board members and to watch some fast cars. Hope everyone gets a chance to watch the race this weekend!

Lots of great conversations today with Indiana County Commissioners from the Southwest District. Representatives from Daviess, Gibson, Lawrence, Spencer, and Sullivan Counties were all in the room for a great lunch at Gasthof Amish Village sponsored by BF&S Civil Engineers.

Discussions included new development, county ordinances, energy, data centers, and many of the opportunities and projects across Southwest Indiana.
