Its been almost 6 months since my life took a dramatic turn, and I am thrilled to share my journey of resilience and hope. 6 months ago, as many of my close friends know, I went into the hospital thinking I had a broken leg, but little did I know that my life was about to change forever. I was in excruciating pain, unable to apply any pressure without screaming out in agony. I called 911, and was rushed to Barnes Hospital, where I was sedated and received emergency care. The first few days were a blur, and my loved ones were left in the dark, as doctors were unable to share any information about my condition. I suffered three cardiac arrests due to blood clots, and my chances of survival were slim to none. In fact, my doctors gave me a mere 10% chance of making it, and my family was told to prepare for the worst. I was in cardiac arrest for 50 minutes, and my body was shutting down. My kidneys were failing, my heart was in congestive heart failure, and I was on dialysis and receiving blood transfusions. I was also diagnosed with lupus, and my hair was matted and had to be cut off due to the ICU's inability to care for it. But despite all these challenges, I am thrilled to say that I have been officially out of the hospital for a week now, and I have been off dialysis for nearly two months. My kidney function is still low, but I am no longer in kidney failure, and I will be going for further testing in July to determine the extent of the damage and whether I will need a transplant. I also suffered lung damage from the blood clots, but my pulmonary doctor is pleased with my progress. My heart is still recovering, and I am still taking blood thinners daily. I recently discovered that I have a family blood clot disorder, which skipped my mother and was passed down to me. Many of my family members have lost their lives to this condition, but I am determined to beat the odds. I do have some brain damage from being out for so long, but I am grateful to be alive and to have a second chance. I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to those who supported me during my darkest days. Your love, care, and encouragement mean the world to me, and I am so thankful to still be here. I am committed to making the most of this second chance, and I am excited to see what the future holds. I am sorry for the lack of updates, and sales. I plan on getting back at it soon. Keep an eye out🌹
