Dearest Lokls,
After a lot of reflection and many months of hoping we could find a way to keep Lokl going, we’ve made the difficult decision to close our doors. Our last day of business will be Saturday, July 11.
This little shop has been so much more than a business to us. It has been a place filled with community, connection, creativity, and countless memories. We are incredibly grateful for every customer, consignor, maker, farmer, friend, and supporter who has walked through our doors over the years.
One of the things we are most proud of is that during our ownership, Lokl was able to pay out over $350,000 back into our community by supporting local bakers, makers, crafters, farmers, and small businesses. Being able to create a space that championed so many talented people and helped keep those dollars local has meant so much to us.
While we hoped the right person would come along to carry Lokl into its next chapter, it simply wasn’t meant to be. As bittersweet as this is, it’s time for our family to take a step back, catch our breath, and focus on each other.
Between now and July 11, we’ll be marking down much of our personal inventory and store merchandise. We’ll also continue carrying many of your favorite consignor products through our final days, making this one last opportunity to stock up on the local products, handmade goods, and unique finds you’ve come to love - so PLEASE continue to support us and our vendors through our final day.
We will also be selling the shop’s furniture, fixtures, displays, shelving, and décor. If you’ve ever had your eye on a piece in the store, now is the time to ask. Everything from display tables and shelving to other shop fixtures will be available for purchase.
For our raw milk customers, we will continue carrying raw milk through our final day of business.
As we wind things down, starting next week, our store hours will be changing to:
Thursday–Sunday | 11:00 AM–6:00 PM
We hope you’ll stop by, say hello, and help us celebrate everything Lokl has been before we close this chapter.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for supporting our dream and being part of this journey. We will miss seeing your familiar faces, and we’ll always be grateful for the community that made Lokl so special.
And while Lokl may be closing, we hope you’ll continue to support the incredible makers, artisans, small businesses, and farmers who have helped shape this community. Please continue to shop small, shop local, and support your local farmers whenever you can. Your support truly makes a difference and helps keep our local communities thriving.
With immense gratitude,
Tom & Hope
