Naughty Facebook ate my post about the BIG sale today. No Knitkabob inventory, but there is SO MUCH other stuff…. From $1 for a one pound bag of yarn to kitchen wares to small appliances to furniture. And we still have lots of store fixtures… grid wall panels, 3x3 cubes, a display cabinet. Prices look pretty good to me! I hope you can make it to Union. I will be at the shop from 10 until 3 fulfilling your yard sale fantasies. I will post more photos later this morning.

Thoughts on Knitkabob‘s last day…

Exactly 11 years ago, Knitkabob opened its door for the very first time. As a retired mathematician, I was highly amused that we opened on Pi Day! (You know, March 14… 3.14 et cetera, the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter. Sorry, but I told you, I’m a retired mathematician.) It seemed fitting that we should also close our doors on Pi Day.

I am even more amused that both March 14, 2013 and March 14, 2024 fell on Thursday. Many of you know that Thursdays have special meaning for Knitkabob. It is the day the knitters crocheters and other crafters gather to work on projects, share some food and have a great time. I will cherish every Thursday afternoon memory.

So, we are bookending the Knitkabob adventure with Pi Days. Hmmm… bookends… I wonder. Well, heck yes! Of course there are knit/crochet bookend patterns on Ravelry. Have a look…

Golly. I can’t believe that there are just two more shopping days at Knitkabob! All our inventory is 75% off, and there is still a lot of yarn/notions left. Come and get it while you can! Also, if you still have a Knitkabob gift certificate, you need to use it by 5 pm tomorrow, Thursday.

I have pulled down some wire cubes. Three of these are available right now. Asking $30 each. There are 8 more, but they won’t be available until next week. Cash or check please.

Hey, kids! This is an exceedingly rare Saturday evening post to let you know about next weekend. Knitkabob has LOTS of extraneous stuff the we need to clear out of the building. We have partial yarn balls that will be bagged in one pound amounts and sold for $1 per bag. We have posters/decorations. We have kitchen items… mugs, plastic platters, various containers… glass, metal, etc. We have furnishings, like chairs, tables, bookcases. We have so many leftover magazines-pamphlets with patterns, knit and crochet. Other things too… project bags, luggage, … basically anything we had stored at Knitkabob. Of course, we also have store fixtures.

We are having an indoor yard sale, next Saturday and maybe Sunday, from 10 until 3. Come see us for great deals. Cash or check only, please.
