MAC version now available!
I'm very pleased to announce the release of Track Designer — a Windows & MAC application for model railroad layout planning and design, developed specifically with Märklin HO and Z track systems in mind.
The project started when I was designing a large Märklin HO C-Track layout of my own. While working through the design process, I kept wishing for software that was faster, more intuitive, and easier to use than the tools available to me. Eventually, instead of continuing to wish for it, I decided to build it.
Track Designer was created with a simple goal: make Märklin layout planning fast, easy, and enjoyable.

• Application keeps live track tally and has an option to purchase necessary track directly from Euro Model Trains via pre-filled shopping cart.
Track Designer is built entirely in compiled C++ and was developed with extensive assistance from AI tools throughout the process. The result is a lightweight, responsive application designed to handle layout planning quickly and efficiently.
To help new users get started, I've included built-in help documentation and created two YouTube video tutorials covering both basic and advanced functionality.
