A Touch of Denise

A Touch of Denise, was created with a dear friend who passed away suddenly. This was a joint venture; and as matter of respect reverence. The name will always be: A Touch of Denise.

A Touch of Denise is a small shop in Umatilla, Lake County, Florida. Everything we make is hand made, we mix our own slip, pour our own molds and most importantly; we clean the green ware. The cleaning process is time consuming. The minute details of the piece can be lost in the pouring of the mold. The raw piece (green ware) is carefully inspected for any mold overs or fill ins. We make sure all the details of the piece are pristine. Any mold imperfections are corrected. Once cleaned the green ware is then hand glazed and fired in our own kilns. Then final inspection is made. During the final if there should be any imperfections, the piece will not be shipped, it will be remade. Once it passes the inspection the piece is hand packed for shipping,both domestically and internationally. Please feel free to browse our inventory. Looks like a hugh mess, but actually we're pouring Christmas molds. Yes we have to start early in order to have enough pieces ready for Christmas in December...or maybe Christmas in July... ;-)
