Hey y'all! Sorry for the delay in this announcement! It was so I could get over a nearly two decade writers block! The upcoming Age of Sigmar Narrative campaign is upon us! The infographic will have the information you need! But first! The introduction! Also big thanks to Kuni for his work on the graphic for this!
For in the Warren-City of Chakrik’s Folly, a tremor not felt since the days of the ambitious Grey Seer himself shakes the city to its core. As the aftershocks continue to rumble through the city, a gigantic Realmgate erupts forth. From its gaping maw pours the very essence of Life itself, verdant growth consuming Skaven machinery and replacing it with a forest of impossible blooms, twisted roots, and fauna that had never drawn breath beneath the earth.
From the depths beyond the gate come other things. Grots and Troggoth emerge, their fungal standards fluttering as squigs snap and frolic at their heels. Hailing from the wilds of Ghyran, they greet the spreading growth not with fear, but with feverish delight. For them, this is no catastrophe. It is a new land to claim beneath the watchful gaze of the Bad Moon.
And tonight, the Bad Moon is on the rise.
Rolling over the mountains of the Adamantine Chain, Ogor war drums thunder like an avalanche without warning, consuming all in their path. Driven from the Everwinter by their cold and pitiless Frostlord’s promise of fertile lands and endless prey, the Beastclaw descend upon the region in search of hunting grounds worthy of myth and legend. Lone hunters carry tales of a vast forest rising from Chakrik's Folly, its boundaries creeping ever further across the land.
High above, Kharadron sky-fleets take to the clouds, aether-gold engines humming as a desperate venture takes flight. On the brink of ruin, one sky-trading company stakes what little remains of its fortune on a generations old deed to a forgotten tract of Ghyran soil. Long dismissed as a lost cause, the claim may yet prove their salvation, for the Realmgate at Chakrik’s Folly could offer passage to lands thought lost to the shifting wilds. But first, they must find their way through the wilderness and clear a path to claim their inheritance.
Meanwhile, the graves of Embergard stir with restless anguish. Wails and screams echo through the night as the dead claw their way from the earth, rising at the summons of a Wight King. Long-buried warriors gather once more, answering the call to war. For Nagash sees this sudden flourishing of life as an affront to his dominion over Death, one that shall not go unanswered.
An ambitious Archduchess holds court amid a throng of ravenous nobles, blissfully drunk on their delusions. Born a daughter of Ushoran, or so she believes, she is determined to claim the newly transformed Chakrik’s Folly as the heart of a kingdom worthy of her father’s legacy. Beneath her banner march nightmarish knights and hordes of loyal ghouls, while she rides to war atop her cherished pet, a Terrorgheist of impeccable manners and dreadful appetite.
Blood Knights mount upon steeds of blood and sinew, their swords gleaming as they prepare for battle. At the command of their Vampire Lord, they ride to claim the lands surrounding Chakrik’s Folly, eager to carve out a kingdom in their master's name. With rival powers gathering across the region, the Blood Knights welcome the chance to prove their might, cutting down all who dare challenge their lord’s dominion.
Whether borne of Skaven mischief, the schemes of a shroom-drunk Git, or the whims of a bored god, it is still unknown. And truth be told, it matters not.
What matters is the story yet to be told.
The War of the Ravaged Wilds.
