North Shore Defensive Fi****ms Training (NSDFT) was founded to provide quality and affordable fi****ms training to responsible individuals. Course offerings include Minnesota Permit to Carry (or "Conceal and Carry") to include certification for Wisconsin and Florida, and Introduction to Handguns for those needing a primer to the Permit to Carry course. Class sizes are limited to ensure high qualit

y and safety standards are maintained while at the same time providing a low stress learning environment. Regularly scheduled classes are available, as well as individual sessions to better meet your busy schedule. The Minnesota Permit to Carry course meets or exceeds the standards of the MN Department of Safety’s Bureau of Criminal Apprehension regarding the Minnesota Citizens’ Personal Protection Act of 2005. Topics covered during the course include: firearm safety, operating and maintaining a handgun, legal aspects, carry considerations, and shooting fundamentals. In addition to covering the course materials, there is an assessment of the student’s mechanical knowledge and safe practices regarding handguns and a live-fire qualification. The class is intended for those individuals with basic firearm safety and handgun knowledge. While the subject of handgun operation is covered, this is not a basic pistol course. However, the Introduction to Handguns course is available upon request to ensure you have the knowledge, skills and confidence to successfully complete the Permit to Carry course. North Shore Defensive Fi****ms Training is veteran owned and operated by me, Brad Anderson. I have been an avid fi****ms and outdoors enthusiast since a very young age. I served in the United States Marine Corps, and relocated to Minnesota after my enlistment where my passion for fi****ms and the outdoors thrived. I moved to Two Harbors in 2015 to enjoy the North Shore and look for new opportunities. NSDFT is a certified business, by the MN BCA, to train instructors to teach the MN Citizen’s Personal Protection Act of 2005 (permit to carry). I am a NRA instructor for Basic Pistol and Personal Protection in the Home, NRA Range Safety Officer, and MN DNR Fi****ms Safety Instructor. I am committed to promoting safe and responsible fi****ms handling and ownership, and look forward to the continued growth of shooting sports.

Good morning everyone.I hope you had a great Memorial day and took a minute out of your day to remember those service members that made the ultimate sacrifice.

I have a class scheduled for Saturday, June 13th in the basement of the American Legion in Two Harbors. Class starts at 1000 am, after the classroom portion, we will go to that Agate Bay gun club for the shooting portion. Cost of the class is $100.00, check or cash. Must be 18 years of age or older to attend the class.

Good morning everyone, I hope you are enjoying the summer. I have dates for two Permit to Carry classes. First class, Saturday, August 9th at 10:00 am in the basement of the American Legion in Two Harbors. Second class, Saturday, September 6th at 10:00 am also in the basement of the American Legion in Two Harbors. Class cost is $100.00, check or cash.

Please note two major changes. First change anyone 18 years of age can now take the class. Second change is the range qualification has changed from 10 rounds to 25 rounds.
