Last week, we broke ground on our first stream restoration project in the Jefferson Valley for the first time in over a decade. We are improving spawning and riparian habitat on 1750' of Willow Springs Creek, a critical spawning tributary for rainbow trout in the middle Jefferson geography. A heartfelt thank you to Ruby Springs Lodge, R.L. Winston Rod Company, George Grant Chapter of Trout Unlimited, Trout Unlimited: Chuck Robbins Chapter 656, Healing Waters Lodge of Montana, Frontier Anglers, Four Rivers Fishing Company, Trout and Salmon Foundation, Montana Trout Foundation, and private donors. You bring our mission to life!

Work is being completed by Rowe Excavation of Dillon. We're really excited to see the results (and the spawners)!

MONDAY, APRIL 27.
We will be opening our shop to all of our loyal customers and guests! Fishermen and fisherwomen! We will be adhering to some strict guidelines and safety measures to do our absolute best to keep you and us safe! Social distancing, fewer guests in the shop at one time, and a “sanitation station” at both doors for entering and exiting. We will be running shuttles as well. Extreme cleaning measures will be taken with every vehicle.
We hope to see you all in the near future (from a socially distant distance!) and help you have a better day on the water!!

THE SCOOP
First and foremost, we’d like to thank our friends a colleagues for all of the calls, emails, and just flat out reaching out to us during these crazy times! As we, and all of our other outfitter friends would surely say, our guests are the best! Thank you for all the support! Also, CALL us and ask about our stellar gift certificate deal!!
At 12:01 this morning, issued a directive ordering our fellow Montanans to stay home, and temporarily closing all non-essential businesses in efforts to slow the spread and keep our communities safe from COVID19. To comply with the directive, Four Rivers will remain closed as a store front, lodging, and shuttle business, and guide trips until April 10th. Everyone do your part to knock this out sooner than later!
This brief pause in our early season will ensure a huge improvement in safety for our families and guests coming later in the season!
As you can see, We’re currently scial distancing every chance we get! It’s the norm for us around here anyway! Phones are on. If you need anything or any info, please call and chat! We can arrange for parking lot fly and essentials drop-offs too! (6’ +separation ofcourse!)
Stay safe, and wash your hands, and avoid crowds. GO FISH!

2020 UPDATE

Been a while since we’ve fired up the social media monster here at 4R. Normally we intend to do that, or like to keep it limited...for a couple of reasons. :). But times are definitely a little different right now! Our season is firing up here in Twin Bridges. A handful of guide boats are still on the schedule for the next month or two, but our FLY SHOP HOURS will be a little different for a while. As per our area, we will be doing a “take-out” option for flies, leaders, tippets and terminal tackle. Everything you need to get out there and get em! We also have a gift certificate special! It’s worth it! Call us for info! Unfortunately, our SHUTTLE gig won’t be operating until further notice, for family and public safety. Fish are being caught, weather will be nice, practice your social distancing skills, wash your hands, and, as normal, call us for the most up to date reports in our neck of the woods!

All of the rivers are fishing great right now! Amazing eats on the dry on the big hole and Jefferson, nymphing is top notch with windows of mod dries on the beav, and the Madison you can choose your game and do well! @ Silver Star, Montana

We got some nice trout eating in our local freestones... Salmonflies are way up high on the Big Hole and Nocturnals are starting down low.

Daily double action for these guys down below town! Fishing is starting to pick up. The window of opportunity is not an all day ordeal, but if you get out there, the fish are eating!

Our crew has been grinding daily on just about every river around. The fishing is solid, the fish are in great shape! Salmonflies have been on the Big Hole for a week or so.... And the Madison is primed and looking good for a hatch here soon! Here’s Art Lacinak with a dandy from the upper Hole.
