Kickstart Convenience is owned by a local girl who was raised in Turtletown not even a mile from the store location-DeeDee (Runion) Deal. DeeDee's family will be assisting her in the operation of the store. Her fiancé Robert Dell will be managing the store while she continues working in her position with Hewlett Packard. Her younger sister Julia (Runion) Davis and her family, husband Eric, sons Lo
gan and Denver and daughter Mattie will be helping out. Her older sister Rose (Runion) Bennie and her husband Scott will also be assisting as much as possible. (DeeDee Rose and Scott currently live North of Atlanta but are trying to get back home! :o} ) Dee's Mother Shelby Runion helps the family by keeping them fed and giving them moral support. And Jonathan, her only brother, will be around to talk Copper Basin and Tennessee football much of the time! The store is opening Saturday, August 30th at 6 am. We will have a Grand Opening celebration starting around 11 A.M. and going till 5 P.M. Come on by and enjoy a hot dog and fixin's with us. Also while you are there, put your name in the box for a chance at several prizes that will be drawn for around 5 P.M. You do not have to be at the drawing to win...we will give you a call so you can come pick up your prize at your leisure. We will also have fresh boiled peanuts for sale all weekend. Come on in and check the store out to see what all we have to offer. In addition to the traditional items a convenience store offers, we will also have gift items that will change periodically including sunglasses, t-shirts, baseball caps, otter boxes, Dr. Dre earbuds, lighters, etc. We also have a small selection of tools and accessories for the guys. We are carrying a small selection of work gloves, latex and nitrile disposable gloves, safety glasses, tool sets, electrical and maskin tape, tarps, tie downs and zip ties as well as several other items. We have a fare selection of motor oil in stock. We are also carrying anti-freeze and windshield washer fluid. Hot, fresh coffee will be available starting Saturday morning. We will eventually have a deli in the store. Oh yes, by the way, our gas is ETHONOL FREE! We have regular and premium gasoline as well as diesel. We look forward to getting re-acquainted with many of you and meeting many new friends that have moved to the area since we have been gone!
