FRANKIE ~ SEATTLE, WA, Lady's Hope Dog Rescue
*** URGENT UPDATE - 6/16 ***
From LHDR: Frankie has lost his foster family. We are very sad to share that Frankie has gone to boarding. His foster family has done wonders with him, but had to take in a dog (Karma) who was returned to them after being adopted through a now defunct WA rescue, so we will help place Karma as well. We are hopeful that once Karma's placed, Frankie can go back to foster before he looses all the progress he's made, and before he starts to go kennel crazy again.
PLEASE CONTINUE TO SHARE FRANKIE. We posted a very detailed account of what he needs and what the rescue would like to happen -- which is a home within a day's drive of Seattle, WA, so they can do homecheck and follow up, and if anything ever happens, they can get to Frankie. Thank you!
--------------------------
Frankie. 5.5 years, and he's NEVER had a family. His previous owner was homeless and forcibly committed for mental health issues. His name was Monster and he lived on the street.
His shelter photo is heartbreaking. Thankfully, LHDR took him under their rescue after the shelter staff networked him. He is loving and resilient, and his temp foster has helped him find that happy and loving boy they all knew he could be!
Frankie has been waiting for a home far too long. It's time he has his first family, and his first home.
- He is sight-impaired, but that does not deter him -- VIDEO: http://youtu.be/xRHK397eyOI
- He is a lap dog who loves his people, his toys, learns his way around the house and yard (yes, he will run and play in your yard!) -- VIDEO: http://youtu.be/mONpvBvEO6o
- He doesn't fancy cat
- He gets along with dogs
- Older kids would be best
He's in Seattle, and because his foster was only temporary, he is starting to have to be kenneled several days a week - and that is not good for Frankie.
Frankie needs to stay within a days drive of Seattle so LHDR can do a meet-n-greet and standard pre-adoption home visit. For more info: http://ladys-hope.org/adopt_frankie.html
*** re: Frankie's eyes: "He does not have cataracts, LHDR's eye specialist believes he was born with this condition, there is nothing surgically that can be done, or they would do it. His rescuers check his eye pressures consistently to ensure he is not in pain. He can see shadows and movement, and can play ball and navigate his surroundings without issue. He is a loving and happy boy, who doesn't know that his lack of sight is anything other than normal!" ***
Please SHARE! Let's help Frankie find his forever family. Thank you!
