Well, you all do not know this, but I'm an ER doctor in my day-to-day life. Yes, a Thirty-One Gifts consultant and a doctor.
So why do I do it? I don't need the paycheck. I tend to either spend it on those in need or I write it over to a charitable cause as a donation. So why, right?
I originally joined the company, well, because someone asked. I was in my residency and purchased a bag for work. I became friends with my consultant and on a whim, I joined. Honestly, I wanted to make enough on a monthly basis to get some free stuff and make a little extra cash, because a resident's salary wasn't that great. .. and I sat on my kit for 8 months, went inactive and didn't sell a thing! LOL!
Yeah, I almost squandered my opportunity! So, I went to one of our monthly "Celebrate and Connect" meetings and something put a spark in me to start "doing". I had my first party and it was a flop; first vendor event, another flop... it took a bit, but I learned from every failure and went to my first conference and I found my "why",,, it was the sisterhood. It still is the sisterhood. I realized I had the sisterhood from the start in my sponsor, but I didn't realize it. I learned so much from the amazing women I have met since then; I fixed my approach to sales, started networking, attending more vendor events and gained some awesome friends all across this country.
But I definitely have room for more friends and I'm always looking to share this awesome opportunity with my company!
