The Browning High Power is most certainly a classic collectors item! This one was manufactured in 1964, chambered in 9x19 and has an awesome elevation adjustable rear iron sight that is more commonly seen on rifles. The history of the High Power is interesting to say the least. There was the option of two different chamberings: 9x19 or 40 S&W. Based on the design of John Browning, Dieudonné Saive at FN Herstal completed the design several years after his passing. They were originally manufactured in Belgium under the name of "High Power" all due to the increased magazine capacity of 13 rounds, almost double that of the P38 or 1911. Its name change to "Hi-Power" when production moved to Canada during WWII. The name remained the same upon returning to Belgium manufacturing up untill 2018 when they were discontinued. FN resurrected the Hi-Power as the "FN High Power" in 2022 with updated / modern features, but what is more or less a whole new design the ambidextrous slide release and greater round capacity.

In 1972 Sturm, R***r & Co. introduced the .44/.45 Old Army. This was a Black Powder Percussion revolver in a modified design of the R***r Blackhawk. Originally offered in Blued Steel, this one is Stainless, which R***r transitioned to in 1982. Our Stainless Old Army originally shipped in 1994, has a 7.5 inch barrel, and a Loading Lever/ Pivot Pin for loading your powder and ball. Some are marked as .44 Cal and others as .45 cal but all Old Army models use a .457 round ball or a .454 conical lead bullet. Truly a beautiful firearm.
