I know I said I was done with dining sets. But I couldn't resist the price on this one. I mean it is solid mahogany. The top of the table was pretty rough so I restained it and gave the legs a freshen up. I painted the chairs a French country blue. I think the blue really brings out the color of the wood.

I sold the trunk table today. I refurbished the trunk and painted it 3 years ago with every intention of selling it. But once it was done I couldn't let it go. That happens sometimes, thankfully not too often. Anyway it has been 3 years and I needed the space so now it has a new home. I hope the lovely young woman that bought it enjoys it.

The perfect nightstand for a French country bedroom. Wrought iron legs, a roomy drawer and a pretty little pink drawer pull. I know these look pink but that's just the wall paint reflection. My next redo. I added legs already now I'm ready to finish it. I bought this massive suitcase from a retired hippie in a Quik Trip parking lot. She was gorgeous with long silver hair all the way to her waist. We sat in the parking lot and sipped coffee while she told me about her travels. She lugged this suitcase to all sorts of exotic places all over the world. I love the unusual and quirky people I get to meet. It was an afternoon well spent.
