Want to stand up a Tac Patrol program at your agency? Do you just want your road folks to have a skillset well beyond what they get in the academy? This is the course. We'll push fi****ms skills hard, work essential CQB & SUT skills, review essential case law, get mechanical breaching reps, and more. The course will conclude with culminating force-on-paper & force-on-force exercises. Host agencies get free and discounted seats. Email [email protected] for hosting requirements.

Who is this guy?

I'm a 20 year resident of Oklahoma. I'm a SWAT, Advanced SWAT, and Counter Terrorism trained LEO. I've been a SWAT team leader for a County special operations team. I've served as a department Armorer, Instructor, and Training Coordinator. I'm immensely fortunate to be an adjunct LE Counter Terror instructor at Direct Action Resource Center. I'm a contract instructor for State's Anti Terror Assistance Program for CRT/QRF & SPEAR. I've taught as a peer trainer in the Army, as a seminar presenter, as an adjunct university professor, and private/contract instructor for over 25 years. I've learned from & with some of the best people on the planet. And I bet I can throw a football over them mountains. Well, maybe not that last part... probably.

I love teaching. I love the challenge of teaching a group of people who all learn differently, and adapting my approach to those various learning styles. I want good people to be harder to kill, and to be better servants to their communities. I hope I get to share the range or shoothouse with you sometime.

UK and European visitor reactions to all things American at the various world cup venues warms the cockles of my heart... and goes to show that their media sucks as badly as ours with pimping divisive narratives. Real wins.

There are a lot of folks teaching classes, acting like they have no idea that everything about their curriculum is discoverable.

Something I saw recently and which I like, a lot:

"It's better to have a great team than a team of greats." - Simon Sinek

The number one man can be wrong. Not sometimes wrong in a philosophical, "we're all human" kind of way. Wrong in a specific, definable, mechanistic way β€” and more importantly, wrong in a way that has a clean, non-negotiable solution when applied evenly across multiple variables we want

The priorities of life are non-negotiable. No matter who you are, and no matter who they are. Whether 'they' are civilians or teammates: This rule is inviolable. A podcast recently caused stirs over the comments of one panelist, and the overwhelming silence of the others. If you want to do this work, you must buy in to this premise; all in all the time. Otherwise go do something else.

1. Hostages/victims
2. Bystanders
3. LE
4. Suspects

One of the opening topic discussions during CQB Lab is the presumption of possessing a well developed base of hard skills before you ever step over the threshold. Chief among these being the 2-sided coin of marksmanship/target discrimination. If you can't PID and deliver deliberate, well-aimed fire under a wide variety of conditions on targets of varying sizes, there's always perimeter.
