Kansas was one of the many bands you might've run into at The Church in 1974. They recorded "It Takes a Woman's Love" and "It's You" right here in the studio, both featured on the album Masque.

One of our favorite things about Tunes @ Noon is that moment when someone walks in not knowing an artist, and walks out a fan.

Next week has all the makings of one of those weeks.

Avery Brown and Wyatt Justice are two of the most exciting young artists on Oklahoma's country and Americana scene right now, and on Saturday, Tyler Sr. brings his infectious indie pop sound to The Church Studio.

Three talented artists. Three very different musical experiences. Three chances to discover your next favorite musician.

Join us this week from noon to 1 p.m. at The Church Studio. I have a feeling you're going to be glad you did.

Special thanks to the Hardesty Family Foundation for helping make Tunes @ Noon possible.

Now preserved in the The Church Studio Archive, this guitar belonged to Tommy Allsup, the acclaimed guitarist who was originally scheduled to be on Buddy Holly's plane on February 3, 1959, before giving up his seat to Ritchie Valens after losing a coin toss. Also known as, "The Day the Music Died."

We had the pleasure of recording Tommy's son, Austin Allsup. He was able to take the guitar out for a spin and use it during his session.

We invited Micky Dolenz to join us and somehow forgot one important detail:

He's Micky Dolenz.

When the voice of "I'm a Believer" starts singing, everyone remembers why they fell in love with that song in the first place.

Absolute pro. Incredible talent. Genuinely kind human being.

What a privilege to record this moment with a true music icon.

54 years ago, Willis Alan Ramsey released his first and only album, Willis Alan Ramsey, on Shelter Records label. This recording came about after Willis played a gig with Leon Russell and the Allman Brothers and afterward, showed Leon his songs.

"Willis, I need you to record this record. And record it on my label. I’m fixin' to go on tour." -Leon Russell
