So.. Long time no update and last weekend was a rollercoaster of emotions.
So I had the privilege of being in Planet Comicon Kansas City's cosplay contest. This event was so beautifully ran, everyone's cosplays were top tier amazing, and seeing everyone up close makes me want to strive to be better. One hundred percent would recommend and would love to be in again.

Thank you so much for the fantastic experience, and thank you , , and for being fantastic judges, your day definitely wasn't easy.

I unfortunately didn't place, it's okay and I'm at peace with it and I got some very helpful feedback that will last forever. I'm just glad I was able to take part in something so rewarding and inspiring. The sense of community and belonging was real and friendships were made, especially when and were freaking amazing Sisters of Battle!

Thank you so much and for help keeping me grounded and not becoming an anxious mess. Being able to talk it out and looking at your build books helped immensely.

For an emotional twist, on Friday I recieved news that I had to hold back happy tears on a busy con floor that's better than placing in a contest.
My dad beat cancer.

The Sister of Battle is done! She had a successful debut at this past weekend and received so much love. Thank you all that stopped and said the wonderful words of praise and amazement, I appreciate it so much. It made the 19-month marathon of making this build so worth it.

You should be able to see the Sister again at Oklahoma Comic Con and DragonCon, with DragonCon having a bonus Marriott carpet patterned skirt and jacket. The next contest planned is hopefully Planet City Comicon after some repairs, modifications, and new props.

Long time no progress updates! The Sister of Battle is coming along nicely in time for SoonerCon and all that's left to do is painting and final details. So far the heaviest thing in this entire build is the backpack coming in at 6lbs, 2oz. Final pictures coming soon!

So short story.. Whitemane is in timeout for the time being.

But I'm going to do a real good sanity checker with this Sister of Battle from Warhammer 40k to be done by summer next year. Back story on this Sister in particular is in the search for a 3D model I found this model on cults3d.com and fell in love with the intricate design and overall badassery.

Sorry on the disappearance, took a couple weeks to go to Dragon Con and now back to the cosplay grind! Here's to hope the new sewing machine works well and Sally shall be finished!
.May I say I might have plans for the next cosplay? I'm thinking either something from Portal or Warhammer is in the works 😄
