Heads up if you're fishing Lake Eufaula or Atoka Lake! Rule changes for other areas too!

A big change for crappie anglers at two Oklahoma lakes.

The Oklahoma Wildlife Commission has approved several new hunting and fishing rules, but one of the biggest changes for anglers is at Lake Eufaula and Atoka Lake.

🎣 The daily crappie limit at both lakes is now 20 fish per day, down from the statewide limit of 37. The statewide daily limit remains 37 on most Oklahoma waters.

The Commission also approved:
🦌 A two-day waiting period for nonresident deer licenses purchased after deer season opens.
🦆 A new license requirement for waterfowl and sandhill crane outfitters and guides.
🐻 Removal of the black bear muzzleloader harvest quota.
🦆 New migratory bird, deer and elk season dates and regulations for 2026-27.

Most of these changes take effect immediately, though some emergency rules will still go through the permanent rule-making process later this year.
