I am seeking advice on a sensitive matter. My parents have been dealing with a frustrating situation for over a year. They hired a plumber from their church to fix a gas leak and paid him $3,000 upfront, but he never returned to complete the job. This has resulted in significant hardship, particularly with the freezing cold weather. I am not in a financial position to assist them, and it is distressing to witness their struggle with this basic necessity. The fact that the plumber is a member of their church community makes the situation even more disheartening. It is shocking that someone who shares their faith and values could take advantage of them in this manner. My parents have chosen not to pursue legal action or publicly expose the plumber, instead trusting that their faith will guide him to make things right.
