Since Barb's has closed, many of you are looking for a new framer whose work is the same level of excellence for the same value as Barb's. Well, your not going to find that ever again. However, I can recommend some fine framers in Tucson.
First, Izy Framing located on N Campbell and Prince. They are a new outfit owned by a couple transplanted from Canada. In full disclosure they bought the majoriy of our equipment, supplies and inventory after we closed so we wish them the best of luck going forward and hope that you and all our former customers will check them out and see what they can frame for you.
Other framers to consider are Lewis Framing, south of Broadway just off Kino, and Deadwood Frames, at 5th and Tucson, both shops quality of work is highly regarded as are also there prices.
Posner's Art is closest in proximity to 4th ave and the University neighborhoods. They are primarily an art supply store but have a small frame shop upstairs.
Midtown there is Arizona Picture & Frame Gallery, family owned and operated since the mid 20thc. They are doing something right.
Lets not forget another long time midtown frame shop the Poster Warehouse on Broadway and Sarnoff's which is now located in the Foothills.
All of these shops are independent small businesses here in Tucson, hopefully, one will be the right fit for you.

Four days remain to take advantage of our closing week sale. Posters and frames make excellent Chanukah, Yule and Christmas gifts, just sayin'.

Barb's Frame of Mind will close it's doors for the last time on December 24th, 2022.

Until then we will keep our regular business hours 9:30 to 5:30 Tuesday through Friday and 9:30 to 3:00 Saturday. Additionally I'll open the store on Monday 10 to 5 and will make appointments if necessary for Sunday or after hours for customers picking up orders who can not make it in otherwise.

Oh yeah, and everything is on sale.
Posters, stock frames, orphaned frames, matboard, moulding, supplies, tools, equipment and furniture.

Barb's Frame Of Mind had a great last weekend at the Fourth Avenue Street Fair! Thanks go out to many people who made it possible, first of all Barb who contributed her best painted frames ever and holiday cookies to boot. Mika, Nan, Ziv, Dora and Alaska who kept the booth running all weekend. The staff at FAMA and the amazing volunteers who tended us during the event. Most of all YOU, who braved the crowds/parking to come out and give us your support. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

Well, just in no good time for anyone, I (Brian) tested positive for Covid! So this means the shop will be closed to the public for the week to come, Tuesday the 28th until Tuesday the 6th, Sorry for any inconvenience. We are still planning to be back up for the last street fair. Stay tuned.

Greetings all, as of October 15th Barb's Frame of Mind must turn away all new orders. We are now focusing on fulfilling all remaining customer orders and continuing to sell our stock of posters and ready made frames. I apologize if this causes you any inconvenience. A Gentle Reminder, today and tomorrow are the last days we will be taking in new custom orders to fulfil before the end of the year and the closing of Barb's Frame of Mind.

Greeting and Thank You from Barb's Frame of Mind! Barb founded the frame shop in January 1992, so its fitting in a way to bookend the Barb's Frame of Mind experience by closing in December 2022. Thirty years is too short a time to spend with such excellent and admirable Tucsonans, if I may paraphrase (poorly) from my favorite author. But it's not time for Good Bye just yet!

We will continue to take new orders for just a while longer, through October 15th in fact. I'm sorry that doesn't leave much time, so if there is something special you've been holding off getting framed for awhile, this is the time!

After we have fulfilled our last custom orders, we will shift focus to clearing out our inventory of posters, framed and otherwise, as well as ready-made frames of various sizes and styles. Look for us one last time at the Fourth Avenue Winter Street Fair and take something unique home with you.

Greetings All!

Barb's Frame of Mind will be closed for the last week of July, which for us is the 26th through the 30th. We will be open our regular Saturday hours, 9:30 to 3:00, on the 23rd and we will reopen our regular weekday hours, 9:30 to 5:30 on Tuesday August 2nd.

We are looking forward to some time out of the shop to travel and relax a bit, but also to allow for some long delayed repairs to be addressed while the crew and myself are out of the way.

If we don't see ya this week, we look forward to seeing ya in August!
