We craft sustainably harvested, laser engraved Alder wood jewelry. Bijoux Bee is a two-person team, based in Tucson, Arizona: Margaret, who does most of the design work, jewelry assembly, and is likely the one you'll hear from if you contact us, and Thomas, who handles our graphic design, and helps with shipping. Margaret Zinser is an internationally recognized glass artist (operating under the b

usiness name MZGlass). While glass is her first love, she loves creating lightweight, sustainable, laser engraved Alder wood jewelry! Tom works for a local insurance company, and in his spare time, restores wood furniture. Bijoux Bee started as an extension of our mutual love of the textures, color, and versatility of wood. We care about the planet, and have put effort in choosing supplies and packaging that reflect that care. The Alder wood we use is sustainably harvested, and all grown in the US. Additionally, Alder is a fantastic choice for wood craft: it grows quickly and prolifically, dies relatively quickly, and thus is considered a very renewable hardwood. Unlike many other hardwoods, Alder has nitrogen-fixing roots that help nearby trees thrive! You can wear your Bijoux Bee designs knowing that you're making a good choice, and supporting handcrafted art!
