Happy Saturday, everyone! Yesterday, I dropped off this glass coral at the gallery located in
Did you know The Sea Of Cortez is some 200 miles southwest of Tucson and is major influence on our local climate? It actually provides moisture that brings life to most desert species. It is also home to coral reefs which are crucial for supporting a vast array of marine life. It’s so refreshing to know this as a person who has lived most and her life near the ocean and now calls Tucson home.
Let me know if you want me to make you one! I have been making these glass corals for over 15 years now!

Happy Saturday everyone! Last week we had the opening for Fire to Form at the Mesa Contemporary Arts Museum! I have two works at the exhibit which runs through AUG. 3, 2025 at the SOUTH GALLERY.

If you’re a fan of glass art make sure to visit as the entire museum has glass exhibits!

Today is the last day of All At Once / Reflected through glass! This exhibit has been one of the highlights of my career! What an amazing honor to be invited by curator Rigo Luna to be part of this timely and important exhibition that highlights resistive and radical art-making through glass. Happy Saturday everyone! This pair of heels I made is being exhibited for the first time in The Twisted Road: Finding Home in America at The Tucson Desert Art Museum. This Thursday the museum will provide an informational panel and continuing dialogue to accompany the exhibit. From the Frontlines: A Panel Discussion on Immigration Issues Today will be held on April 10th, 6:30PM - 8:00 PM. Please RSVP for this event at the website.

A week ago I landed in Connecticut for the first time and installed my work Retablo de Imágenes y Memorias. I am still in disbelief that my work got invited to be part of All at Once - Reflected Through Glass! An exhbit with artists like Titus Kaphar and glass masters Einar & Jamex De la Torre. I’m so happy to share space with my friend and amazing stained glass artist, ! Throughout the weekend I met so many great artists and got to meet artist friends I only knew online.

Gracias infinitas a curador Rigoberto Luna for inviting me to be part of this important and timely glass exhibit; for his warm welcome and for showing me around New Haven! This was the first time I met in person but have been working with him behind the scenes for the past month. Rigo, thank you for believing in me that I would finish those new shoes on time! I’m also so grateful for .macias.art for telling Rigo about my work and for always giving me solid advice! 🫶🏽

Everyone at was so welcoming! Thank you, , y a el señor Francisco por su amabilidad conmigo! Thank you to all those that came to the opening! It was so wonderful to meet the amazing in person. I also got to meet Katya Heller from who actually juried my work into the Ireland Glass Biennale a couple of years ago.

I couldn’t have made it to Connecticut without the support of my family and friends. Specially, my husband and kids that always are there for me and keep me going! And my dear friend and lifesaver 🌞

All at Once - Reflected Through Glass will be on view at the NXTHVN campus through May 18th. If you’re on the east coast it is worth the drive to visit New Haven! The Yale Art Museum is amazing!

All At Once, Reflected Through Glass showcases the artistic practice of glass as a medium of resistance. Utilizing the medium for critical and transformative storytelling, the artists’ works reflect on social issues and inequities while connecting with personal and collective histories, creating a space for dialogue within a complex multicultural world. Together, these textured expressions invite viewers to engage with their respective messages, consider their broader social context and challenge the traditional, predominantly white narratives of glassmaking.

This exhibition revisits the industrial legacy of New Haven’s Dixwell neighborhood, centering on NXTHVN’s campus. Once home to H. Puddicombe & Company (a manufacturer of art and leaded glass from 1920 to 1945) and the Macalaster Bicknell Company (a key producer of laboratory equipment and glassware from the 1940s to 2012) this building is a relic of Dixwell’s manufacturing past, before its adaptive reuse and establishment as an arts incubator in 2019. Blending the history of glass production with NXTHVN’s mission to disrupt the art world’s status quo, this exhibition highlights resistive and radical art-making through glass.

Happy Saturday, everyone! A week from today I will be in New Haven, CT, celebrating the opening of the exhibit All At Once-Reflected Through Glass! A big thank you to curator Rigoberto Luna for inviting me to be part of it! The opening reception will be at the NXTHVN campus, March 8th, from 1pm-5pm, 169 Henry St., New Haven, CT. Hope to see you there!
