Beryls have always been an important part of my passion for collecting, and have been a staple in the private collections I build and curate. Although there seems to be billions of aquamarines that come from Pakistan, there are only two aquamarines of size that posses the qualities of this one.

This aquamarine is internally flawless, and for the size is impossible to find. However what really makes this piece an 11, is it’s color, the saturation on it is insane. It has very unique etchings down the sides of the crystal, and posses luster that is seldom found “naturally” 😂 on crystals!

The only other single aquamarine crystal of real size I have seen that even remotely compares is the very famous and as well know Joseph Freilich Aquamarine. I owned it for 4 years and unfortunately sold it to a dear friend. It is easy to find for it has been published many times. After selling the Freilich aquamarine I immediately regretted it… so I began hounding Marcus to sell me the only other comparable. After many years of back and forth I finally was able to acquire this ridiculous aquamarine. I left the iron stain on it because I love that it has not been through a lab, not that it needs it. 💯🙏🤯🥰

Medinas are arguably the most magical aquamarines on Earth. There were 16 crystals of note found in this pocket in the 1990s, and of those 16 crystals, I’ve been fortunate enough to have handled most of them 🔮❤️🙏🏻.

I’m not a provenance guy at all. In my eyes, it adds zero value to a rock whatsoever. That being said, the lineage of this crystal included Wayne, Gene, Horner, Danny... and now it has been in the TERRA Collection for over two years 🙂❤️.

A lot of people try to devalue the progression I bring to mineral collecting by focusing on the roles others played in my acquisitions. At the end of the day, what matters most is who owns an object or who curates it. When you deal in objects that have no comparables, the value is whatever the owner puts on it. This only exists at the highest level of collecting.

This is by far the most valuable Medina ever found, and certainly the most valuable single gem aquamarine on Earth. It also has a digital termination like my other one, except it is bigger!

Not much needs to be said about this piece. Just seeing it or holding it makes you a hero. If you’re lucky enough to own it, that’s another story.

Enjoy your weekend, friends 🙂🥂

The trip to Nanjing was full of obstacles from the start. We literally spent 14 hours the night before we left repacking every single box to fit perfectly in the storage on the plane.

When we got to the venue, half of our booth wasn’t built, and our rocks were sitting God knows where in customs 🤦‍♂️😬😩. We soon realized the impossible task of setting up in time for opening day was not likely.

To our surprise and delight, many of the people around us noticed our stress and went out of their way to help us find bulbs for our cases, risers, stabilize our cases, adjust things that needed to be modified, feed us 😂, and the list is endless. Without the people in these pictures(plus many others that aren’t in these photos), we never would have been able to resolve all the problems we encountered.

Seeing as it was my first time in China, regardless of all the business I do there, I was beyond impressed with how caring their culture is. I felt like I had been friends with these people for a long time, and the truth is I met most of them for the first time on this trip ❤️🙏🏻🙂!

If we were at a show in America, the environment can sometimes be so cutthroat that I honestly think we would have been in a much tougher position 🤦‍♂️😩😒. It’s kind of sad to say that out loud.

Anyways, you were all gracious hosts and should be proud of who you are. Without you guys, our exhibition never would have been able to happen.

There’s a lot people can take from this post. For starters, friendship and being a good person should always come before money. Being kind to strangers is also something we should all practice more.

I only speak English; however, I was able to convey my problems through hand gestures and facial expressions. They all cared enough to not only see what was wrong, but to help me find a solution.

Super grateful for everyone in these pictures, and obviously for my own team as well. Last but not least, my wife and kids for putting up with daddy chasing his dreaM. ❤️🙏🥰

As most of you guys know, we just did our first exhibition of “TERRA” in Nanjing, China. The response was insane 🤯🤯🤯❤️🙏🏻!

As I have expressed, the exhibition will be at other venues throughout the world. It will also include many more minerals that my partner and I chose not to bring. Excited to see the reactions in other locations 🙂.

I also just wanted to thank Jeff, my videographer, who literally spent probably a month filming this video. It’s not easy to make rocks look good on video—pictures are much different. Most pictures of rocks on the internet look nothing like the rocks themselves.

Our mission with this page is to inspire and educate the world. Video is much different—you get what you get, which is why setting up lights takes so much time and dedication to get the right shot.

Jeff, you are a brother, and without your artistry, this page would not exist.

If you want to learn more about this collection, please DM me. I’m open to inquiries; however, we are still in the exhibition phase of this project.

The “TERRA” Collection represents the four elemental forces: earth, fire, air, and water.

Many people have asked me how a project like this came to be, and how it was even possible. The answer is manifestation at the highest level, combined with a shared vision between one of my dear friends, Evan Yurman, and myself.

Evan came to me years ago at the Tucson Gem Show. He was incredibly passionate about minerals and about searching out the finest stones for his jewelry brand, David Yurman. As our friendship grew and I shared my dreams with him, we realized we had much more in common than we initially thought. Not only did he understand my vision, he helped turn it into a reality, and together it grew into something I never thought would be possible.

We created “TERRA” to raise awareness and help build a global market at the highest level of mineral perfection. Minerals are, in my opinion, the rarest collectible on Earth, especially at this level of quality. Born half a billion years ago, they will hopefully endure for another billion years. Though the mineral market has expanded steadily over the past 200 years, it has done so slowly because of the extraordinary scarcity of these objects.

Evan collects many things, as do I, but nothing compares to minerals. They are truly one-of-a-kind objects that display beauty in endless variety. Throughout this journey with my friend, I have learned a great deal and have often been deeply inspired. Ours is a growing market, but one whose standards are not always clearly defined. Our hope is that “TERRA” can serve as a lasting tool to educate, inspire, and elevate the appreciation of these natural masterpieces.

Thank you to all the people from around the world who traveled to see this exhibition. The turnout was overwhelming, and the long lines were completely unexpected. We deeply appreciate the patience of everyone who waited to experience the collection ❤️🙏🏻.

The question now is where the collection will be exhibited next before it is ultimately sold. I pray that its future owner chooses to display it publicly so others may continue to enjoy and learn from it.

A very special thank you to my friend Evan for believing in me and helping me see a bigger picture. And thank you to my family and loved ones, who have endured the overwhelming amount of work, travel, and sacrifice required to create something of this nature. None of this would have been possible without your support.❤️

Nanjing China opened their arms to me and my crew, as if I had a family I never met. The culture embraced us as if they knew us our entire lives. It’s crazy how people who barely know you were so genuinely willing to help you. Friendship was created and passion was displayed, a celebration amongst collectors from all over China. I was shocked to learn that I have fans, and that many people travelled from far distances to meet me. I’ve honestly not felt this touched in a long time, it’s funny because I don’t have a strong presence in Chinese social media, but apparently people repost my videos there frequently ❤️. Still shocked at this experience and the power of sharing your passion to others! The Chinese collecting community will always have a dear place in my heart, look forward to a series of posts we will be sharing over the course of the next couple of weeks 🔥❤️🔥

People constantly ask how I get all the rocks I get. I figured a video like this would give a glimpse into the sacrifice, effort, and commitment it takes to build collections at this level, including my own.

Countless flights, endless miles on the road, and years of relentlessly chasing rocks that are almost impossible to get. None of this happened overnight. It has taken patience, persistence, and doing my best to never give up on the process.

I have always tried to put my clients’ needs first. The truth is, this life does not come with vacations, days off, or normal weeks. Between travel, negotiations, logistics, shows, and client work, every week… the hours become impossible to count.

When you fail, you get up and keep moving forward. You learn, adjust, and keep building.

This industry can be extremely competitive, and not everyone understands what it takes behind the scenes. For me, it has never been about control. It has been about building something meaningful, working on projects I believe can help push the mineral world forward, and helping collectors understand quality at the highest level.

I truly believe the finest mineral specimens are among the rarest natural objects on Earth, and the market is only beginning to understand their importance.

Many of the minerals I have sold from my portfolio have increased dramatically in value over the last decade. More importantly, they have brought my clients joy, pride, and the ability to build collections that grow in importance over time.

My mission is simple… to represent minerals I genuinely believe are as good as they get. I want my brand to stand for trust, quality, and long-term value. We will not be here forever, but these crystals will 🔥🥂🔥❤️😊

The mesmerizing color of this soda can sized tourmaline was the first expensive rock I chased as a kid. I remember when the pocket was hit there were 9 crystals and I was determined to own this piece. This piece is so special ❤️🔥🔥🔥. Words, pics, and videos could never give it justice. I remember back in the day the internet used to use these counters on how many people viewed a picture… in the early 2000’s there was a crappy pic of this rock and I remember there being 50 million views😂🤦. At the point I was very skeptical I could ever own such a piece. However through heavy manifestation and passion I was able to prevail. This is probably the most emotional piece I have ever owned. Something a photo doesn’t show is it actually has all the colors of the rainbow 🌈😊❤️😊❤️🤯. Hope this piece inspires you all to chase the rock of your dreams and never give up😊🙏!

The “Flame” is a leaf gold from Red Ledge. It literally makes no sense how good the overall quality is. It is robust, and you literally couldn’t bend it if you tried. That alone puts it in a league of its own, because most leaf golds are extremely delicate.

The flow of the shape is beyond captivating. When you hold it, you never want to put it down. My favorite part personally is all the beautiful textures, triangles, and other geometric shapes that cover the surface of the specimen. The patina and aesthetic are an 11.

I was originally offered this piece over a decade ago in Tucson. I was shell-shocked by the price, and at the time, I was scared to pull the trigger. Fast-track to two years ago, from another individual, and we did indeed pull the trigger 😊❤️🔥🔥🔥. No regrets, pure joy!

After studying it for so long now, it has become, for sure, my favorite leaf gold in the world. Unbiased.

What I’ve learned in my business and life of collecting is simple: if you haven’t ever seen anything like something before, it usually means it’s extremely important, as long as the quality checks all the boxes.

So excited to be showing the world a teaser of Nanjing, China, of the Terra Collection.

Lastly, a word of advice to the advanced collectors out there: it doesn’t matter who owned a crystal, it only matters who owns it currently or controls it!
Wishing you all a wonderful day 😊❤️🥂!

Arguably Jackson Crossroads is the most elusive mine for amethyst in the world. It has produced by far the world’s most valuable specimens, however very few of these have been produced. By my calculations around 5 world class specimens have came from this mine🤯😳😩, making it near to impossible to acquire this quality.

For many years there has been an argument over which one is the best of the few great ones. Point is if you own any of these treasures you are a hero. Although amethyst is a common mineral there is nothing common about a gem flower, of top color, on top of a contrasting matrix!

This is an ultimate object and to many is the most valuable refined amethyst ever discovered. Currently in the “TERRA” collection! Can’t wait for the world to see what I’ve been working so hard on in Nanjing China!

This is going to be an event you don’t want to miss if you are a world class collector! In a lifetime of being in this community, I’ve never witnessed anything along the lines of what is going to take place in Nanjing China! Hope you can join me for the unveiling❤️🔥🤯🥂🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻!
