I’m a sucker when it comes to trusting your gut in nature. I spotted this saguaro from fifty yards. The arms hung low, they were gnarly and twisted. It stood out amongst hundreds nearby and I needed to see it up close.

When I arrived at its base I looked up and no more than 10 feet above was this gorgeous bobcat staring down back at me. Time stopped. I froze and then did what anyone observing wildlife should do. I walked away and gave it space, and only then did I snap a few photos. I would’ve never gotten so close but had no idea the bobcat was there until I was directly under it.

I couldn’t tell you how many times I have imagined seeing a bobcat in a Saguaro or how many more I have searched for them. I could’ve stayed under that saguaro for days but knew my continued presence would’ve stressed an animal who already has enough to worry about.

Give wildlife space, get outside and respect nature!

I'm having so much fun making these!! What colors should I try next? Maybe some Valentine's colors/shapes?
