The art you make, whether it’s food that gets eaten up on the spot or a piece of pottery that gets passed down for generations, makes our world better.

But the end result isn’t where the value lies, it’s in the process of creation.

The skill, the thought, the time, the energy, the passion, the care, the trial and error that ultimately brings to life something useful or beautiful or meaningful or delicious -

The end result is just the embodiment of all that good stuff.

After each market I think about what we created together. I know that without incredible artists and makers being willing to come alongside us we wouldn’t exist. And I am grateful So so grateful to all who have participated with us in creating something that makes our little corner of the desert a better place to be.

Please keep creating. The world needs it and as long as you are doing it, we will be here to support you.

Community is a verb.

It’s not something that just happens. It takes planning and intention.

It takes showing up for others even when it’s easier to stay home.

It’s unreasonable and inconvenient and messy but it’s also soul filling, and warm, and even the littlest interactions re-wire our brains in a positive way.

Yesterday was a full brain reset. There is so much good here. The market is constant proof that a bunch of different people with different backgrounds and ages and interests and beliefs can still come together towards a common purpose and experience so much joy in the process.

Thanks for showing up. Together we are building a community that makes our world a little better one market at a time.
