Readers who have lost their hearts to traditional books with enticing covers, rustling pages, and that never to be forgotten smell- will feel right at home browsing our shelves. We offer a wide variety of good-quality, used books- hardcover and paperback, fiction and non-fiction-with an especially good children's section. We also try to keep in stock titles commonly required for high school readin

g lists and college courses. If you haven't visited the store before, you have quite a lot of catching up to do. Come browse as an anniversary gift to us as well as a relaxing gift to yourself! A heartfelt thanks to all who are coming by the store to say goodbye, to tell me how much the store has meant to you AND to buy some of the many books still on the shelves! It's a bittersweet time, but the future looks rosy. No regrets. I've loved every minute of my 19 years as a bookseller! :)
P.S. Keep coming! The Village Book Shoppe will be around until the end of the month. (And I'll be open tomorrow, Sunday, from noon until 2:30 or so.)
