Why is an instrument built a certain specific size? Why the depth? Why the soundhole apperature? and on and on....
After 40 years of building stringed musical instruments, I began , with others, a search for these answers .
Studying a system of proportional design, based on the string length and tuning of an instrument, presented by Maestro Dmitry Badiarov .
The "why" becomes clearer. Any instrument becomes more willing to give and responds to the artist . at one with the music that gives rise to the proportions of the instrument.

CherryArts is a vibrant organization that presents all kinds of wonderful artistic activities. In addition to a bunch of great theatrical and other varied disciplines, it seems that the amount of musical performance that they’re hosting is expanding. ‘So glad to be a part of that. In setting up this concert, they’ve been great to work with.
I hope that you’ll come by to check out the venue and the music. Apparently a fair amount of tickets have been sold, so there will be lots of good energy in the room.
