Happiest of Solstices to you! Instagram’s uncool in this era but here’s a review: I’m out here touching more beauty with these actual hands than I ever might have imagined, the tulips were all eaten by deer, a big long energy-draining drought, campanula and rudbeckia as floral MVPs, payroll went up and profits went down, but I went camping quite a bit. The world is just as beautiful and tragic as ever. Being a daughter, being a friend, navigating separation and coparenting, not without hiccups but with unexpected grace, being a steward where I can, being lucky as a fat worm in rich loam. Thanks be to the flowers that are flowers, and to the flowers manifesting as people, I love you each and all.

Endless heaps of gratitude to Margot & John and their incredible families for the opportunity to really go big on a tomato girl summer dreamscape this past August in the Berkshires. New friend and creative inspiration hung out with us for a few hours on a hot July evening and captured this part of my life that I couldn’t be more grateful for — this magical kid and everything I get to be when I’m with her. Plus we got some cool shots of Stewarts and our little South Troy friend family, too. Thank you so much, Kate, I’m going to treasure these forever. OH AND IT’S NATIONAL DAUGHTER DAY so there you have it. Blessings abound.
