🍊 Here is how to keep your glue lines completely flat and smooth!
🛠️ When you are working in the field and can't use a traditional press, contact cement is a highly reliable option for applying veneer directly to an MDF substrate. 🪵
⚠️ However, standard liquid contact cements can roll out incredibly lumpy. Any imperfections or high spots in the adhesive layer below will telegraph straight through to your finished wood surface.
💡 The secret to a flawless bond? Switch to a gel-type contact cement and apply it smoothly to both surfaces using a very short, 1/8-inch nap mohair roller. 📐
⚙️ This ensures an adequate, perfectly even glue line without the ridges that ruin a high-end look.
