Starting in 2013 as a small storefront in Cave Creek, Arizona, Brakecrafters was created as a one-stop shop for motorcycle enthusiasts to find all their motorcycle braking needs. Our full range of quality kits and other products, combined with our top-notch customer service, are what set us apart, making brakecrafters.com one of the fastest growing sites for cyclists. Over the past several years, we have experienced rapid expansion and outgrew our AZ facility. We went in search of a larger facility, with more space for inventory and room to accommodate a larger staff, and we found the perfect partnership in Troy, Ohio. Situated in the Midwest, the new facility is centrally located and provides ideal distribution channels throughout the country. Our new, larger space has enabled us to expand our product lines while continuing to provide the best customer service around. Winter can be hard on your motorcycle brakes 🌨️

Cold temperatures, moisture, road salt, and long periods of storage can contribute to brake corrosion, contaminated brake fluid, sticking calipers, and worn or damaged components.

Before your first ride of the season, don’t just check the tires and battery. Check your entire brake system. Inspect your brake pads, rotors, brake fluid, lines, calipers, and master cylinder for signs of wear, corrosion, leaks, or damage.

A few minutes of motorcycle brake maintenance now can help prevent bigger problems later and make sure your bike is ready when riding season returns.

How to protect your motorcycle chain in fall 👇

Fall brings cooler temperatures, rain, leaves, and road grime, so your chain may need a little extra attention.

🫧 Clean it regularly
Remove dirt, moisture, and road debris before they build up and contribute to wear or corrosion.

💧 Keep it properly lubricated
Apply a quality motorcycle chain lubricant after cleaning, especially after riding in wet conditions.

⛓️ Check chain tension
Cooler weather doesn't eliminate the need for proper adjustment. Check slack according to your motorcycle manufacturer's specifications.

👀 Watch for rust
Rain and moisture can accelerate corrosion. Inspect the chain regularly for rust, stiff links, or damaged O-rings.

🌧️ Don't ignore wet rides
If you ride through rain, dry and lubricate the chain afterward rather than letting moisture sit on it.

⛓️‍💥 Keep an eye on chain and sprocket wear
Check for hooked or worn sprocket teeth, excessive chain stretch, and tight spots. Replacing worn components together can help prevent premature wear.
