Hi Folks, It was a sorta fun run, but we have closed the OverTheHill.com website.

Pardon us if we use some technical terms, but "it didn't make money". And while we loved supplying people with fun items for their 40th, 50th, 60th, 100th, birthdays, we didn't like it when at the end of the month we had worked hard to earn negative dollars.

It wasn't that we didn't sell the stuff for more than we paid for it. We did. But people didn't spend that much. You really have to try to spend more than $50 on plates, cups, etc. and those small orders mean someone has to put the items in a box and ship it out. That costs labor expenses.

We also had to pay a lot of monthly fees, which would have been easily covered if we were selling a lot of orders, but OverTheHill.com never really sold that much stuff, so the fees were high compared to the sales.

Don't worry about us. We still run Bachelorette.com and that business is doing well at supplying bachelorette party items to people everywhere. We will keep doing that.

Today is our anniversary! We've been in business 24 years! In that time we've been in three locations and one of our staff has been here the whole time. It's been a lot of fun. Thanks to all of our customers for making it possible. Hopefully we'll be selling weird stuff on the internet for a lot longer. We ain't dead yet!

Today is the 20th anniversary of our company. Twenty years ago we pressed “publish” and our first store went live. Since then we’ve served over 1,000,000 customers and have kept everyone’s purchase completely private. Instead of a black color scheme, which was a little depressing, we are changing all of the Over The Hill products to a sea foam green to project a happier, more healthful image. Our Power Outage was short lived and undramatic. The area affected stretched from Chipotle all the way to the wine store. It lasted from Thursday morning until Saturday afternoon. Fortunately we just drove a mile or so to get our burritos and boxed wine. Unfortunately, It did delay a Thursday and Friday's orders by anywhere from 1-47 hours. If you were affected, let us know and we will fix it. On the bright side Tom and Kevin spent some of the time on the warehouse roof patching a drippy leak. Sorry for the trouble. All is back in business. The Private deliveries are flowing normally once again.
