Journal Love
Back in November I saw a beautiful journal for sale by . . .it needed some love. From 1899, this journal had all of its pages covered in clipped newspaper articles, but I knew I could take the pages and save them with a method I learned several years ago. I mean, if you saw that amazing writing poking it's little head through the margins, wouldn't you save it too ?

So here's to a rainy Sunday afternoon soaking and scrubbing and drying these pages back to as close to their original state as I can.

🌿 shortly after I was diagnosed with cancer, I came upon information on an art event taught by Roxanne Evans Stout in the hills of Northern Idaho. i told my sweet husband about it . . . how peaceful and calm it looked and he told me i should plan to attend with my best friend . . . that it would be something to look forward to after a summer of chemotherapy and unknowns.

🌿 to say it was an amazing experience is an understatement. the venue, the hospitality, the meals, the friendships. . i could go on and on.

🌿 thank you honey. . . i needed that.

🌿 and bonus. . i came home with 4 completed projects. not my usual mo

🌿 Good morning friends !

🌿 Today I embark on a goal that has been on my mind for several months. . .Flat Lay Friday !

🌿 I have so much lace and smalls and thought I could take this platform to share with you.

🌿 I'd like to say these will occur weekly and at the same time but we'll have to see how that goes with my schedule the way it is ( or until I csn figure out if I can make a post amd save it until later )

🌿 The sales will be on my new page so if you haven't already, head on over for some vintage goodies. ( the photo is the little girl on my business card so you'll know it's me)

Amazing weekend, Part 1

🌿 I spent an beautiful day with friends and .and.company at The Great Junk Hunt last Saturday and then on to Portland for Art and Soul for 3 days. Trina and I took a great class taught by ( more on that later ) on Monday and then took our friends from California antique shopping on Tuesday. Super sad that our friend
Couldn't join us for shopping because she had a class. 😢

🌿 of course I found some of my favorite things. . .butter molds, vintage bibles, vintage books, lace, more lace and even more lace, ironstone, chippy wood pieces, a vintage pin cushion, ephemera, and so much more.

🌿 it was a good few days spent with friends before treatment starts next week. I am blessed.

🌿 stay tuned for part 2 ! I have to go put this all away now. 💕

🌿 I will never be ashamed to proclaim that God is good !

🌿 I'm not gonna lie. . I had a bit of anxiety on Tuesday about this whole procedure of placing the port, but each time I felt that way I pictured myself in My Fathers arms and proclaimed his goodness, care and comfort.

🌿 I was blessed today with an amazing Dr. and nurses - They were so kind and explained it all . . I didn't realize one incision would be in my neck and that is the most tender right now . . . You don't realize how much you use certain muscles !

🌿 thank you to my family and friends for your prayers throughout this journey. I felt covered as if a warm blanket was wrapped around me. I really don't know how I deserve all of you. . . I have been blessed.

🌿 Phillipines 4:6 'Don't worry about anything; instead, pray for everything. Tell God what you need and thank Him for all he has done'.

🌿 I usually share my thrifted and antiquing adventures here ( and will of course continue to do so) but wanted to share some personal news with you, my friends. (As a result, I won't be selling at The Farmhouse Show this spring. . . I will miss you all ! But i do hope to come by and shop ❤️)

🌿 i have a new journey on the horizon . . . will you join me in recognizing the Goodness of God and giving Him Praise ?

🌿 its not a journey I would have chosen, but it will be a new chapter in witnessing His provision and love.

🌿 if you've been around me the past year, you may have noticed a crazy cough I've had that just wouldn't go away. i finally made it in to see the doctor and after blood tests, breathing tests, x-rays, an EKG, 2 CT scans and a biopsy in my lung, my new journey involves fighting cancer again.

🌿 a cancer cell from my previous cancer of 11 years ago has found a weak spot inside my lung and taken up residency. its not very common. . . the pulmonologist was stumped.

🌿 the bummer is that I will have chemo (I only had radiation before) - my port will be inserted on Thursday and first infusion is scheduled for April 25th.

🌿 i have an amazing husband, wonderful children, amazing siblings and an army of friends who have been praying for me the past two months of testing and there hasn't been a moment where I haven't felt covered by the love of Jesus.

🌿 so come along with me and let's witness the goodness of my Lord and Savior. For he formed me in my mother's womb and knows every hair on my head. For I will trust in your ever faithful love. 💕

🌿 last month my sweet daughter and I spent the weekend in Portland for a little shopping fun. Stops at my favorite antique shops were on the agenda along with some of her favorites too.
🌿 its no surprise that the treasures I brought home included ironstone, vintage lace from Paris, ephemera and mini drawers
🌿 so fun to also see fellow vendors and friends along the way

🌿a friend messaged me today and asked if I was okay. . .she said she hadn't seen any new posts for several months

🌿well I looked back and she was right ! yikes.

🌿it has been a busy and emotional 6 months with everything going on ( more on that later) but for now I'll just post something pretty

🌿the items photographed were found in October at The Farmhouse Show in Turner. Treasures from fellow vendors and friends. All have found their way into my home decor. If you didn't already know 🤣, I love ironstone, vintage books, anything with drawers and lace ❤️
