Beekman Boys review Gemstone lights and Barefoot Lighting.

Josh and Brent review the new installation of Gemstone Lights at Beekman 1802 farm. This magnificent home was built in 1802 and it was important to not change the character of the house during the day.

Barefoot Lighting installed Gemstone lights all around the home and on part of the barn. We color matched everything so it is virtually invisible during the day, but at night they are able to have the home lit any color they want using a highly rated app.

Would you walk down this path at night?

Before landscape lighting was installed, this stone walkway completely disappeared once the sun went down. The path technically existed…but no one wanted to use it.

Now the walkway is softly illuminated, the stone texture is visible, and the surrounding garden beds guide you naturally down the path.

Good landscape lighting doesn't flood a property with brightness. It restores usability and comfort after dark.

Whiskey Barrel lights along the driveway!

This was a fun project. Clients style of farm life lead us to get creative. Instead of ugly driveway lamp poles we took half barrels of whiskey, filled them up with cobblestone, and put our area enhancement path lights inside of those. From here client can plant or just leave them as the country vibe look of whiskey barrel lights!

Yes even Albany NY has rural parts folks!

Thoughtful landscape lighting doesn’t compete with nature, it works with it. It guides the eye, creates comfort, and allows your property to be experienced long after the sun goes down.

In this space, the trees were always the back bone of the property. During the day, their shape and structure defined the garden. At night, without intention, they would have blended into the darkness. Our lighting design brings them forward again, quietly, naturally, and with purpose.

By using layered uplighting, we revealed the branching patterns and natural height of the trees, while warm accent lighting adds depth and balance through the lower plantings. The result isn’t brighter, it’s more dimensional. A landscape that feels grounded, calm, and complete after sunset.
